Members titan1978
I am so glad that I keep seeing these kinds of posts everywhere- I was afraid that the media and social media would not amplify the clear instances of white people either instigating violence or just not listening to black people when they are telling them what they need from them. For once it’s like the real stuff is breaking past the usual rhetoric of the media and conservatives. Trump holding a bible was some nonsense, and I’m glad he is being roasted for it.

Members DRW50
I find the "blackout day" to be somewhat vacuous, and just seems to lead to even more derision (see the reactions to Emma Watson), but I guess the idea is nice???? I don't know. Anyway, speaking of the blackout boxes, here's Evan Peters doing the worst damage control ever.

Nothing from https://twitter.com/nbcdays Nothing from https://twitter.com/daysofourlives Nothing from https://www.instagram.com/nbcdays/ And nothing from the official Days facebook account. (Of course I realize that such press release statements don't make much difference to human beings being killed and maimed and arrested by cops). Members DramatistDreamer
These networks would do well to hire more black creatives instead of using black talent to build their networks' "street cred" before promptly dumping them once the show or timeslot gains momentum. Perhaps then I'd believe that they were doing more than just performative posting. Seriously, when's the last time you saw a one hour drama featuring a black family?
Members Faulkner
A street near me in Upper Manhattan is apparently a target tonight for looters. Almost all of the businesses have closed until further notice and boarded up.

Members janea4old
Y&R rebroadcast Traci and Brad's second wedding on Monday June 1st. A classic episode from 1991. Beth Maitland (Traci) was supposed to live-tweet on Monday June 1st But she didn't because CBS told her not to as follows: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well that was good but then .... she tweeted this, which totally misses the real issue: Edited June 2, 2020 by janea4old

Members janea4old
yeah, in the replies to that ABC tweet, a lot of people chimed in about Gabrielle Union. EDIT: I quoted the wrong tweet. The references to Gabrielle Union were in replies to NBC's tweet. Edited June 3, 2020 by janea4old
Members DramatistDreamer
Gabrielle Union at NBC, Taraji P. Henson at CBS, the micro-agressions at CBS and the shady business that went on with that Lethal Weapon series. The equally shady business that caused black producers to flee from ABC. The list goes on and on.
Members janea4old
Please register in order to view this content Why did CBS let the police use the CBS studios lot? Someone on that twitter thread said the police used the lot as a place to stage the transport of protesters?
Members alphanguy74
Figures some jackwagon would say that to her, because she didn't use the PERFECT verbage in her tweet. Someone should put out a Goddamn handbook teaching everyone how to behave in a perfectly politically correct stepford wife way.
Members WebberFan
Well, she also made an IG story that said "I don't get it, is the pandemic over?" in response to the protests. And then has been photographed partying on a boat and at an amusement park with her boyfriend and friends. She's a piece of work but I thought that before this happened. She's always going off on twitter.
