^ And where is the leadership on dealing with the actual problem at hand in Minnesota? Black people are being murdered by the police and his priority is looting, instead of addressing the underlying issue.  Sure, he can't control the police, that's a city and state issue, but POTUS could be a moral leader. I mean, not this POTUS obviously, but someone actually fit for the position. I should be used to the naked injustice coming from the very top of our government, but there are some days I'm still astounded that he is this bad and so many people are just going along with it.

Notice that he never threatened to bring in the national guard when white people stormed the Michigan state house? Also notice that when reports of black people rioting surface, you NEVER see people calling it "Fake news". I wonder why that is?

Yes, she's getting far too old for her tight sweaters and portruding nipples to sway Republican viewers.

People truly are fed up. The deaths keep happening, over and over and over and over and all people did was criticize peaceful protesting because protesters 'took a knee' and it made some folks uncomfortable. Well, now a man has died after 'taking a knee' to his throat.

Trump is exactly the worst possible person to sit up in the White House in this type of combustible situation. The. Worst.

You have Bernie bros trying to give his "movement" credit for the protests, you have Trump riling up his base by saying protesters should be shot, you have longtime Trump supporter Van Jones going on cable news trying to divert people away from the matter by saying Hillary voters are the real racists - yet again the real issues are being ignored and everything is being spun in a way which will help Trump. It's sickening.

I saw that some have identified the man who was smashing windows at the Autozone as a cop in plainclothes, but I don't think it's been confirmed yet so I didn't want to link to the tweets.

As a Black man, I am EXHAUSTED with how our state and local governments continue to ignore the issues.  My fellow Black men and women stay getting murdered by law enforcement officers and/or mishandled by the (in)justice system, and hardly anyone gives a [!@#$%^&*].  They're all just hoping we'll die out (sooner, rather than later) so they can have their precious, all-white nation to themselves.

They were too busy enjoying their Confederate flag sheet cake at Jennifer's trailer.

*HUGS*

I already said this was going to be a long day. And that was BEFORE the arrest of the black reporter who was just reporting, Trump's meltdown over Twitter censoring him, and that shooting at that one protest.

To think, today is my first day back at my main job and I really don't want to go out my door.

Just scared, tired, and angry.

Well, it's about damn time social media did something to censor that man!  His quackpot ideas about handling the coronavirus were and are literally getting innocent people killed.  I'm just sorry we now live in a time when we have to regard our commander-in-chief the same way we would a troll on SON.

Which is why I don't exactly feel sorry for those who are hurting now because they have endorsed and/or continue to endorse Trump.  They knew damn well who and what he was when they voted for him; they just wanted to forget/ignore/erase President Ooga Booga.  I'm only sorry for the rest of us who have to suffer alongside them.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't shake the feeling that officer in particular was making an "ironic" statement against Colin Kaepernick when he did that.  Like Mike Pompeo and his son posting their "pinky promise" on Twitter in response to Elizabeth Warren's campaign.

    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
