Pandemic: What You Need To Know, Amy Robach, Dr. Jennifer Ashton

Launching out of the gate with a strong performance in viewers and the key sales demos eight weeks ago, ABC’s “Pandemic: What You Need to Know” has been shedding its audience since its third week on the air. In fact, the series is down more than 700,000 viewers and has shed more than 200,000 viewers in Women 25-54, and nearly the same amount in Women 18-49, since its debut on March 18. It still performs higher than “GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke,” however.

During the week of May 4-8, 2020, “Pandemic” averaged 1.8 million viewers (1,842,000 in actuals). In W25-54, the show attracted just 299,000 viewers while in W18-49 the show averaged 203,000 viewers. The numbers are a far cry from when the program debuted with 2.6 million viewers (2,588,000 in actuals), 386,000 in W18-49, and 520,000 in W25-54 during the week of March 16, 2020 (adjusted).

For the season, “Pandemic” is tied for 10th place in W18-49 (rating) and eighth place in both W25-54 (rating) and Women 18-34 (rating) with “The View.” The programs are averaging a 0.44 in W18-49, a 0.67 in W25-54, and a 0.20 in W18-34.

Despite not airing an original episode since March 13, 2020, “GMA3” remains the lowest-rated daytime broadcast show for the season. In W18-34, the show ranks last out of 14 programs with just a 0.14 rating. In W18-49, the show averaged a 0.29 rating, and in W25-54, “GMA3” is averaging a 0.43 rating.

Meanwhile, CBS game shows “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal” are losing the huge momentum they gained early on when “Stay at Home” orders were first put in place across the country. Riding a high of 6.5 million viewers during the week of March 30, 2020 (6,537,000 in actuals), the second half-hour of “TPIR” averaged just 5.5 million viewers during the week of May 4, 2020 (5,520,00 in actuals). The first half-hour peaked at 5.9 million viewers (5,899,000 in actuals) during the week of April 13, 2020. The show was down to just 5.1 million viewers (5,103,000 in actuals) during the week of May 4, 2020. The first second-hour of “LMAD” peaked at 4.2 million viewers (4,179,000 in actuals) during the week of March 23, 2020, and averaged just 3.6 million viewers (3,638,000 in actuals) during the week of May 4, 2020. The first half-hour of “LMAD” peaked at 3.6 million viewers (3,589,000 in actuals) during the week of March 30, 2020. The show averaged just 3 million viewers (3,026,000 in actuals) during the week of May 4-8, 2020. The game shows are still attracting their largest numbers for the season, however, despite the recent downward trajectory.
