Another day, another person I had to almost put out for not wearing a mask to order. In the tradition of the 'jalapano' story I mentioned...today this person (actually I wonder if it was the same person)...wanted to argue over his order cuz he couldn't wear a mask right. He actually walked in and PULL IT DOWN TO ORDER. When I pointed out that he could not do that in there, he wanted to say he know that (so why pull it down when you been here before and yes I said that to? Make it make sense.) I also pointed out the signs on the door so he wanted to YELL after that, 'tried' to curse me out, and then called me a pedophile.

Most of my co-workers know that when RHOA is airing is usually when my shade is sharpest so he was professionally (didn't even rise my voice) gathered. Either come in and order like a normal person WITH A MASK or GET OUT. It is that simple. And I said so. We are all tired of this pandemic and if all one can do when we are currently in the midst of a stay at home order is to clown to have something to do, he could walk right back out that door. Otherwise answer the question I ask (was it okay for the condiments I had asked). As for pedophile, he got told to not talk about himself. ;)

His friend had to finish his order.

And I never lost my cool with the other people after him who were being a bit...hmmm...catty? Smile on my face. My boss asked if I needed a moment. No, I said. I had enough of non-maskers making my job harder when December is my busy time at all of my jobs. Since I expect it to be hard, I am almost always Grace Under Pressure for the work team around me. I have to be on point. I stay on point. He can go have a moment with his 'calling someone a pedophile cuz you don't want the smoke I can actually throw but CHOOSE not to' self.

People have real lost their minds over this. To call you a pedophile over ordering a food and a mask. Absolutely nuts. You are amazing for keeping your cool.

Thank you. :)

I just don't see how hard it is to adjust a mask when it is too big. I have a few where I had to put a knot in the cord to get it to fit right. So *shrugs*

At least you're a food worker who wears a mask correctly. It irritates me no end to go to the drive-thru at Subway and STILL see employees wearing masks under their noses. 😠😠😠😠😠

Tell me about it.

And that's just ONE of my jobs. ;)

I just don't get how in a world where everyone would rather be on their phone 24/7 than any human interaction (ironically in a pandemic they want the opposite) that none of them seem to want to google the proper way to wear a mask or find one that does not drive them cray cray.

I posted this in the RIP thread, but his final performance was at last month’s CMA Awards, which was a maskless, in-person event, leading to speculation about when and where he contracted COVID.

I got raked over the coals by a couple of FB friends by even suggesting that the holding the CMAs in person this year was a bad idea. Of course, we have no way of knowing for sure if that's where Mr. Pride caught the virus, but I feel (sadly) vindicated.

Germany will go into a strict nationwide lockdown from December 16th to at least January 10th.

Quote

What do the new restrictions consist of?

  • All non-essential shops and services will close until January 10, including hairdressers which remained open under the current lockdown "lite."
  • Schools are urged to send students home and continue lessons online as well as extending the Christmas holidays until January 10.
  • Daycare centers will also close, but parents will be able to take paid holidays in order to look after their children.
  • Employers are encouraged to allow employees to work from home.
  • People will not be allowed to drink alcohol in public.
  • Religious events in churches, synagogues, and mosques may take place if they follow hygiene rules, but communal singing is not allowed.
  • States still plan to ease stricter contact restrictions for December 24 to 26 so that close family members can spend Christmas together — a household may, during this time, invite up to four adults from other households but only from the immediate family, plus any number of children under fifteen.
  • People may not purchase fireworks for New Year's Eve.

In some states and cities, there are even stricter rules. For example, Bavaria has introduced a ban on leaving your home between 9 pm and 5 am.

What part of airbourne do they not understand?  They thought the table are 8 feet apart so we don't have to wear masks at our tables just when we move around the venue.  Then many just held up a face shield.

Some people just don't get it. Okay they lack common sense...let's be real.

We need to be enforcing what @Huntress is going through in Germany. I know for everyone's reluctantness but when this was going on in March, things went down. Of course, people are not being paid to stay home here.
