Unfortunately, such sights as those won't matter to those who still believe COVID-19 to be a hoax or something that's been blown out of proportion in order to scare folks/defeat Trump in the election.

But, I agree, it needs to be done.  In fact, as I've suggested elsewhere, if/when this is all over, there needs to be some sort of national memorial like the ones erected for the victims of 9/11.

I have no patience with these people at all. As if we all want to make our lives so much harder in a questionable attempt to get rid of Trump.  The economic damage being done right now is catastrophic. The full force of it hasn't hit these idiots yet.

Of course this will be another case where a democrat has to try to fix a destroyed economy. It's going to be even harder this time with Mitch McConnel at the helm trying to make sure the rabble don't get a single extra crumb, while his cronies are still making money hand over fist. It's disgusting to watch unfold.

I can understand why people mostly want to vent their rage against people who are flouting social distancing while they have stayed at home and lost freedom and money. I also get that comments like "grandma and grandpa will die" have lost any effectiveness they ever had. I just wish that so many wouldn't make blanket statements about how these idiots are all going to get sick or die. Many of them won't. That doesn't make their behavior any better. But it does mean that people who are opposed to such selfishness are more easily written off as hysterical and easy to ignore.

It's sad to me that this has become some strange partisan squabble.  We're something like 11 weeks in now. How many people can truly say they haven't taken any risks at all? I could say that for the first two months. Then I took my son to a friend's for a play date. Then my neighbor starting putting his son over the fence in the backyard to play with my son (without invitation).  I looked outside to see them sharing a water bottle!!

It wasn't long before I realized that many of us are now lying to ourselves about how careful we're being. We are making small exceptions and thinking that counts as being careful, but all those small risks compound, which is obviously how infectious disease works.

Someone joked that in Staten Island, that's called being nice, lol.

Seriously though, people forget that S.I. is a part of NYC and given the enormous losses that NYC suffered, it is likely that most of the people in that supermarket probably knows someone who got sick or died from COVID-19. Emotions are likely running quite high.

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
    • It always bothered me from the start that Nicole just took Mona's suggestion and never checked references.  A real psychiatrist would have done more before hiring someone. I like that Kat's reporter/investigative type instincts caused her to be suspicious of Eva from the start, and to try to spy on Eva and catch her as weeks went by. However, I think that Kat's so focused on what Eva did wrong -- that she won't see that Leslie is the master manipulator, making some things appear different than they actually are. I hope that Shanice's natural snoopy nature will get her to figure out what actually happened to Laura, and who really caused all the problems.
    • And I'm here for it.   Also...YES, PLEASE.
    • Also, someone knocked over the head (usually in the D Mansion) and imprisoned in the secret tunnel room or whatever it was. I swear that must have happened at least a dozen times the last few years, and each time it drove me crazy!
    • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! And here I am rewatching and...

    • 5-9   Honestly? There's nothing going on. And yet unlike Y&R, I'm not bored. But I just think that's because of the acting going on as they play the beats in this Liam dying storyline. Well, that and the outfits.   If there's anything I'm liking it's the continued drama of Daphne going after Carter and not letting anyone get in her way. Not Brooke. Not Katie. NO ONE.    And while I love TK in those glasses, I am not here for a Brooke/Ridge/Taylee triangle.    And of course, Luna would try to use this Liam mess to get closer to Finn.   Okay week.
    • The acting during those Sarah scenes on Friday was horrific.
    • So true. Their hypocrisy is on another level. When Anita called Ted a coward because he used Bill as a fixer, I almost choked on my Ritz. And Dani calling Ted worse than Bill as a husband because Bill never pretended to be a good person? Then why stay with him for decades and continue to kiss up to him, Dani? I was glad when Bill told Anita he wouldn't be her punching bag. Not for me. I can think of 100 other actors who would have smoking hot chemistry with LB. Lindstrom does not. I see zero chemistry. None. Joey isn't sexy or scary.   -- Mona was awesome today. -- Why was Eva playing cards in the back room of the casino? -- Can they make Anita any more sanctimonious and self-righteous? -- Dani said Anita had Ted shook. LOL. Really?       No. But I see what you're trying to do. This is a SOAP OPERA. Characters HAVE to make mistakes and sin and screw up and cheat. That's the deal. I understand the concern that we have 2 leading Black men who have cheated on their wives. I do. But I also understand that this is SOAPS 101. Are we going to hear complaints every time a Black character messes up???
    • Gone are the days where at least once every week, a character would pull a gun on someone (Ron you really turned gun violence into a joke on this show)
