Some people use to make the joke, “General Hospital? Generally White Hospital.” It’s a generally white show. That’s just the way it is. I think that if you get hired on that show as a person of colour, you do the best you can. It’s good work. But, you’re not going to be someone who is on the forefront.

Such a shame, because she was way more interesting to me as Jordan than Briana is.  She’s fine in the role, but not great.

It has always been a white show.  Worse than almost every other soap.  Even when the Ward family was there, they did not compare to what Guiding Light was doing with the same number of characters at around the same time.

Y&R was the gold standard, and their audience stayed with them and was high because of it.  Why the other soaps haven’t invested in black characters over the years I will never know.  Not just because they should do it, but also they are leaving money on the table.

I never cared much for Jordan but she's beautiful, talented and absolutely right.

Jordan was never my favorite but Vinessa was talented and they really didn’t have to recast.
