Here are more upcoming spoilers from SOD:

 

Sonny will open up to Evan, Kayla and her new man will reminisce about how they came together, Marlena's return will throw a monkey wrench into Gina's plan.  Ciara will snoop around Xander's house, and Sonny will open up to Chad about Will. Jennifer will receive devastating news from the last year, Eric will inform Roman of his big plans for the future and he will also have a surprise for Nicole, Ben will run into Clyde in prison and Eve will summon Abigail.

 

Also, Chad will reveal his new agenda to Abigail, Hope will work on a portrait, JJ will try and work through his issues and Kristen will provide comfort. And Nicole will make a startling admission to Eric, Abigail tangles with Eli, and Marlena will receive a surprise on Thanksgiving. Victor has replaced Brady with Xander as CEO of Titan, Nicole and Sarah will feel guilty about keeping the secret regarding baby Mickey from Eric, Brady will talk about the past year being very hard and Justin will visit Eve in jail. 

 

And there was also a preview in the mag of other things to come including during the Winter:

Xander and Sarah will grow closer over her baby, Brady and Kristen's relationship will take a shocking turn, Kate will make a surprising career change. Chad will also try to wrestle DiMera away from Gabi, while Abigail investigates what happened to Jennifer.

i'm glad that from the looks of it Jack/Jennifer are gonna be the new "core" supercouple, while all the others seem to be on hiatus/lost in space. lol It's about time. I feel like they've never had their moment in the sun to be happy.

Here are some more upcoming spoilers from SOD:

 

Chad's meeting with Stefano doesn't go as he planned, Xander will tell Sarah that he loves her, Abigail and JJ will talk about Hayley's death, and Sonny will invite Evan to spend Thanksgiving with him and Eve will spend Thanksgiving with Hattie in prison. Also, Lani will come clean with Kristen in the convent and reveal how Gabi got her to break up with Eli, Nicole will tell Eric that Sarah's baby is his.

 

Eric will be shocked and they will discuss how they want to move forward together. Also, Eric will propose to Nicole, Ben will confide in Will, and Abigail will sense that Eli is spying on her and Chad. Also, Ben will defend Will, Xander will confront Nicole, Lani will reach out to Abe and Kate will have a new job. 

 

Also in the mag Ron says that he chose to kill off Adrienne but still keep Bonnie. He says he likes Judi and Bonnie will always be around.

Nah.  It's most likely Steve re-programmed as Stefano.  DAYS wouldn't be foolish enough to resurrect Stefano w/ Joseph Mascolo no longer with us.  Fans would revolt for sure.

Those hands at "Stefano's" computer are way too young to be Steffy. Not to mention his silhouette is of a much thinner man. I'm going to give DAYS the benefit of the doubt of not doing a last minute change where the figure is suddenly heftier and with wrinkled spotty hands.

I must've missed that. How the hell did he survive this time when I believe Andre or Tony even found his body after Hope and Rafe dumped him.

It was sort of left open ended. In 2017, a lot of characters went to Prague, believing that Stefano was alive and hiding there. He was found, and imprisoned but soon after he disappeared from his cell. However, it was later revealed that Steve and Shane planned the whole scheme in order to exonerate Hope of Stefano’s murder. It was actually Shane posing as Stefano, wearing a body suit and a mask, who got captured. Later, Steve and Shane looked over some photos of Shane in the Stefano disguise, and one of the photos was taken at a place where Shane didn’t recall being photographed at, leading them to wonder if that really was Stefano in the picture, really alive and out there somewhere.

 

It was a little half assed but I actually did like that story arc.

He was one of the show's most iconic characters.

 

But yeah, he should be laid to rest once and for all.

When Michael Zaslow (or his widow) asked OLTL not to kill off David Renaldi, I understood why.  David, like Zaslow, was afflicted with ALS, a very real disease; and his family wanted to send a hopeful message to those watching who might have been afflicted with the disease as well.

 

Similarly, I understand why Bradley Bell has kept Sally Spectra alive on B&B, even though Darlene Conley passed away in '07, because Sally (and Darlene) was so larger-than-life that he found penning her death to be too unpleasant.  Of course, I wasn't convinced that that was reason enough to keep Sally alive but off-screen indefinitely.  GL fans didn't want to lose Bert Bauer, but they knew it was better to let her rest in peace (after Charita Bauer had died) than to have her away from Springfield, visiting various family members forever.  But, whatever.

 

So, it's not as if I'm averse to keeping alive Stefano just because the man who portrayed him for the better part of four decades is dead.  Times have changed, however, and budgets for all soaps are nowhere near what they used to be.  Even if he were to remain alive and offscreen for the rest of DAYS' run, Stefano DiMera is/was a character whose power and influence requires/required a level of storytelling and production that isn't feasible in these cash-conscious, belt-tightening times.

 

To put it another way: DAYS stays trying to provide 1990's entertainment on a 1950's soap budget, and that's downright embarrassing.
