Members NothinButAttitude
Why do I have a strong feeling that this is gonna be like Callie 2.0. (but with Nate or Devon) and go nowhere at the end of the day?

Members frequentsoapfan
Well they just had Simone earlier this year and that went nowhere.
Members NothinButAttitude
I've stopped watching for over 2 years, so I didn't know about this. TBH, I only pop up in soap threads b/c I love you all. I've given up on daytime TV altogether with the exception of The View.
Members frequentsoapfan
I'm and on and off watcher so I caught the tail end of what was apparently a very brief arc with another AA singer character.
Members NothinButAttitude
Which annoys me!!! Why do we always have to be tied to the music stories?! Can we aspire for other professions like a doctor? Lawyer? Business exec? Oh yeah. I forgot. Y&R has a knack for scrapping all of those characters. Members frequentsoapfan
Well the new character for Nate with be working in the lab. But they've been determined to keep Devon in this musical business crap for years.
Members Dr Neil Curtis
Might be Devon’s little sister

Members Faulkner
@xtr posted about this. This doesn’t sound like a contract role to me, but it would be interesting if it is.
Members DeeeDee
Not after the way Y&R treated Tonya Williams.
Members NothinButAttitude
True. But I always thought it was stupid for Y&R to never not expand the hospital staff seeing as medical dramas have always been hot commodities in TV (e.g. Greys, E.R., St. Elsewhere, House...) Members DramatistDreamer
CBS has never really had much success with medical dramas, at least since the 1980s. MASH was a sitcom that was just as much about relationships in the time of war as it was about medicine. I guess they also had Trapper John M.D. (my mother was a fan of that show) and Marcus Welby (way before my time) but those were decades ago. CBS is not known for their medical dramas and it seems to be the case in daytime too.
Members Paul Raven
Marcus Welby was ABC. CBS also had Chicago Hope that was pretty succesful and Medical Center way back in the 70's. Y&R had doctors (Snapper,Scott, Casey,Olivia ) but never any major hospital drama unless a character was admitted.
