It has a rape scene, yes, rape the lesbian to punish her, AWFUL. Turned it off. Two women hold her down while one man does the deed. I re-watched CAROL. It was just as great the second time as the first. Cate Blanchette, Rooney Mara, the guy from FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS & in a way the city of New York in the 40s is a character, too. I re-watched ELENA UNDONE & it was fabulous. This was about the 5th time I've watched it. So beautiful, sexy, having the longest kiss. I am now in the process of re-watching FELLOW TRAVELERS, a gay story, limited series on Showtime, also historically accurate, with Matt Bomer. It also is very very good. I used to take him antique fishing lures at appointments. When the final episode aired on CBS I was in the hospital & he was sitting on the side of my bed, patting my hand.
