I’ve defended her for a while, but GT’s acting tics have become just as annoying as Stafford’s. She is going too hard, and it grates. But I suppose it’s in keeping with the part.

Mariah is the most consistent, in depth, and well written young character this show has had in years. She's infinitely likable and you can tell TPTB love both the actress and the character. What you see now is who Mariah will always be.  And it's not a bad thing IMO. I think she works as is. 

 

Too bad I despise the character. 

The only hope their next generation has with Morgan gone.

I liked her until she got the TV gig. The way she's written now isn't consistent with her first 2-3 years on the show.

CG is great actress, but the budget-snark dialogue for her character is hard for anyone to overcome.

Mariah has been redeemed as all of her ilk. Her first 2 years weren't who the character is. She's been this person longer than not.

It's not the redemption I dislike. It's that she used to seem above much of the petty bullshit in GC, now she mediocrely sits in the middle of it. I liked her as a bartender.

Cane is an ass.  I've never despised a character as much as this mofo.  Do TPTB have a hard-on for DG?  What's the deal?  Why is this useless character still on this show?

The only decent thing about the current story is folks reminding cane of his past and that he's not a Chancellor. Let's hope it's not a precursor to them making him one after all.
