What's the point of SSM having him and Neil start their own company if it's barely ever seen and only ever really utilized to assist white women?

Hmmm...I would say SSM gave Devon more screeentime. Then come January/Feb it dried up.  Though recent spoilers have mentioned he's about to get some screentime.
