I understand what you're saying, but what if last year's winner was nominated in the same category this year and won? Would he/she present AND accept his/her own award?

In those cases, I would tap another woman -- definitely not one who's a nominee in that category for that year -- to do the honor.  I just feel like there needs to be a sort of passing-the-baton feeling to the presentation and acceptance of these awards.

Personally, I always thought it was ridiculous to have men present Best Actress, women present Best Actor, and so on.  If I had my druthers, the previous year's winner in that category would be the one presenting the next year.  IOW, whoever won Best Actress LAST year should present Best Actress THIS year.

To tell you the truth, I always thought was David Copperfield was gay.  So this news is kinda surprising to me.

They did briefly have five previous winners in the same category, including the last winner, present the acting awards. I thought it was cool but time-consuming.

I hated this! When each presenter talked directly to the nominees.... it made me cringe.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they dating or engaged at some point? Not that it gives him a pass if what she's saying is true...

I've never really been a huge Alley Mills fan so I'm probably biased, but her bringing it up that way was to me reckless and odd.
