Huh she's been frontburner repeatedly in the last decade! She was also offered a contract at 55 y.o. and she refused.

Ashley is on the frontburner. Nikki has been on the frontburner several times. I'm not saying the show is not ageist or mysogynistic, because it is. I'm just saying that being pessimistic about everything won't lead us anywhere.

Eileen & Tracey are NOT frontburner.

Tracey's last "story" lasted a month and barely featured her while Eileen receives more airtime supporting Jack's stories than for stories of her own.

Nikki is the ONLY female character in her age range who receives consistent airtime & story centrality and even her stories are largely reactions to Victor.

Finally Marla Addams is only around temporarily. If Dina is still around six months from now with similar and/or increased airtime & quality of story then you can talk.

Leslie started as a recurring character in 2010...or was it 2011 . She was an associate of that lawyer, Van Abrams. When was it that Sophia was on? I distinctly remember Neil taking Leslie to some party so that an engaged Sophia could seethe. JFP promoted AC to a contract in late 2012 for a pairing with Neil but mostly to help anchor Tyler, whom I always considered a Devon recast without recasting being that Devon disappeared for a good 4 months  straight when Tyler first appeared.

I suddenly see new merit in the pairing as long as it's a fatal one.  Seriously though a vet like Kristoff should not be stuck with an actress as green as MO. She's gotten better and I respect her for that, but there are still some days where I'm stunned that she was cast as an Abbot.

Anyway, I'd much rather see Abby and Devon. They could do some good stories about them competing in business and such. I mean, obviously they wouldn't, but they could.

That funeral would be hilarious.

Nikki would be screaming, Michael would pass out business cards after delivering the eulogy, Leanna would show up in all red, and Jack would accidentally knock over the casket at the end of service.

 No

Devon will outlast them all.

On paper, Abby and Devon work. It's just that onscreen, she's so much taller than him. I think it'd be awkward. I wanted them paired so bad when ER was in the role.

Especially with the pregnancy.  Everyone in Lily's circle should be pissed beyond belief with Cane. They would be talking about how he exposed her to STD's and betrayed her by getting another woman pregnant, while she can't have more children.  Instead they are a bit annoyed with him for cheating and barely getting scenes.

Anyone else think that Juliet's mother could be a significant character from past? I'm mean I think Juliet is young - well, considering a 29 y.o. has 16 yo twins.... I mean there was speculation about Tessa, but I think Y&R should ride this Juliet story long and hard. It's bringing a lot of characters together. And there's still two major reveals: 1) Cane setting up Billy; and 2) Juliet lied about suit + Hilary knowing, etc.

    • Ugh. I genuinely hope not; I pray, somehow, CHCH-DT is told to provide a one-day pause. The last thing we need is a Y&R situation with this soap. I'm pretty sure Samantha is the older twin.
    • As usual, Jane Elliot stole the show. GM was good as Gio as were Rena, Dominic, and Amanda.   I also thought the actress that plays Emma was low key, but perfect at the same time-just listening and reacting.
    • I'm surprised it took me this long to get into RH. The soap is so damn good, I am just as obsessed with the Ryan's as Delia. The Ryans are a great family unit and seem like good people. I wish I had a family like that. This show has so many parallels to BTG. Frank's mystery is very similar to Martin's. Both are my favorites on each show. adding more thoughts soon once I get a consistent watch going.
    • I also get why Gio feels his life was a lie. I get everyone's emotions are high now That's why I think Monica passing will be the catalyst that starts to the healing process for Gio, BLQ, Lois, Tracy, Ned, Olivia and Dante
    • Judging by the fact that I was able to watch two episodes today, looks like Canada being a day ahead might be permanent.
    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
