Administrator Toups Posted April 22, 2016 Author Administrator Share Posted April 22, 2016 When you keep a couple apart for a while and then they reunite is almost always a formula that brings in the ratings. There are are certain storylines/formulas that gets ratings but a lot of people don't like those storylines. Me, I love those formulas.
Members Jeff
Thanks Toups. B&B has had an impressive April so far. Obviously, it is benefiting from the fallout of the Quinn/Liam story, and Liam & Steffy reuniting... on the beautiful beach of Malibu no less. Monday's numbers were deserved. Also, it shows that despite sister-show Y&R going down, B&B earned the numbers on its own merit. Too bad Greg Vaughan's last week on Days (moreso Friday, which I understand is typically the lowest day of the week) didn't bring in more numbers. Members RavenWhitney
Well, it's very clear that viewers have soundly rejected Griffith's take on Salem. What a dismal failure the last six months have been. No wonder they are working overtime to edit and cut episodes. I don't see this show being around past the one year extension. Has any other soap had these horrible ratings except Passions?

Members sheilaforever
I also found it interesting that amidst a TERRIBLE overal ratings climate this climax actually paid off with the audience. Maybe this lead to change in wiritng style: back to good old longer story arc with actual high-stakes finales... Liam at the cabin lasted for three months which in B&B standards is an eternity.
