Good for Genie.  Well deserved.

That's a nice interview. I'm not rooting for GH's demise, but I'm expecting the worst will happen within the next 10 years. I'm glad Genie will get one last slice of the pie and hope she is here at the end.

Glad that Genie is getting her time to shine but I hope her stories don't consist of over the top villains and adventures. Or simply being a talk to. 

 

I'd actually like for Laura to bring back Deception along with Lucy and they run it together. And given Tracy's past with both women, have ELQ acquire buy Deception and make it one of their subsidiary companies with Tracy making their lives a living hell. Add Carly to the mix too seeing as she worked there once upon a time too. God knows she needs a story outside of Sonny too. And Scotty needs to be tossed in the mix too seeing as he's dated or married Tracy/Laura/Lucy. 

What kind of contact have you had with GH’s new head-writing team, Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman?
Not much more than shaking hands, saying hello, a quick getting-to-know-you thing, but they were very welcoming. They’ve been really busy trying to pick up the pieces of what was left behind from the other writer. They were very stressed out and I didn’t want to bug them. [Executive producer] Frank Valentini wants Laura to have a romance, so I know they’re thinking in that direction. I don’t know if it will be with someone already on the show, or if they’ll bring in someone new. [Laughs] I know nothing! But I’m happy. There’s so much history with Laura. They re-did the commissary at the studio and now they have photos of some of the actors who’ve worked on the ABC lot over the years and there I am! I was so touched by that, so thrilled. I was 14 when I started on GH. And here I am again.

Love the shade….the other writer….LOLOLOL

Ugh…Frank shouldn't have any say in story ideas…its already bad enough with Passanante….a romance….wasnt Ron going to do the same thing with her character? All the romances on GH are nonexistent and horribly written. Maxie and Woodpile are prime example of how bad a romance on GH is.. 

I wish I felt good about this...but I don't.  Neither Genie nor Laura is in capable hands.

And cut the crap. Jean is far from a feminist. If she was a feminist then 99% of her stories wouldn't revolve around the uterus. Her female characters would be strong and independent. Working women. Instead, all her female characters care about are popping out babies and tending to home. If anything, Jean's writing sets women back 50 years.
