I never ever thought seeing Dena Higley's name on DAYS would make me happy but it has.

I already feel a difference. I don't know the exact date the new writers start off the top of my head, don't think it's today, but I'm already seeing the show I used to know.

 

Finally I give a [!@#$%^&*] about Clyde. He just became a lot more interesting attacking Daniel (even though I knew it would be him). IDK, nasty Clyde works far better, wish they'd let him drop the fake southern charm and let him just be nasty all the time.

I think you meant Aiden. I wish he would attack Daniel

LOL. Whoops. Yep. I was probably thinking Daniel Cosgrove and wrote Daniel. I meant Aiden. And both are useless. Let's hope he does attack Daniel and puts us out of our misery.

I was beginning to think that neither of them was going to make it out of the hotel room alive.

I saw a commercial for DOOL on Pop a little while ago.  I wish they weren't airing the show at 8pm, that's kind of inconvenient and pretty much a major primetime conflict.  Even 11pm or midnight would be better for me.

You're really trying to tell me you don't remember him from his famed role as the second Rafe Ortega on AS THE WORLD TURNS?

 

Either way, you should just enjoy his intense gorgeousness because it won't be lasting very long.

Loved Julie and Hope and loved Julie and Marlena.

 

Totally a transitional episode but well focused, IMO.

There was actual emotion today. Ill be damned.

I know longtime fans have had decades to reconcile it, but I'm relatively new to DOOL and still wrapping my mind around the idea of a woman being married to her mother's ex/sister's father.

It made sense if you saw it from the beginning.  Addie was actually the interloper.

This is the best episode in a long while, IMO.  The scenes were much longer and had depth.  I also noticed a raise in energy.  So far, it seems like they are balancing each other out.  Now I just can't wait until the new production values kick in.

 

Clyde rocks.  I loved how he beat up Aiden himself instead of getting someone else to do it .  He's the best villain the show has had in a long time. 

 

So John's going back to the ISA? I don't mind that as long as he's still in that type of role. 

 

I liked Julie and Hope's discussion/recap about Bo.  Nice foreshadowing there. 

 

Glad we're officially seeing Josh/Dena's (what are people calling them? Jena? Dosh? J/D? D/J?.....ah.....we'll see what catches on) material now.  I think DAYS won't be boring a while. I'm ready for this ride!  It's good to be excited about the show again.

That's a surprise. He's one of the weakest they have but every so often he turns out a good one. Today was good. I did notice some of his usual though. He's just not as strong but not awful either.

Today was TOO good to be written by Josh/Dena.  I'm actually under the impression that Jean P is ghost writing until there material actually airs and she is giving Josh/Dena credit because she is modest about her brand of intelligent and psychological 'smart tv', which doesn't appeal to the masses.
