So Y&R is officially AMC on the fast train to Cancellation Town.

I can't tell a damn thing that's going on in this promo, it just looks crazy and messy and overlit.

Did you watch the "Turned Upside Down" behind-the-scenes VT about this story? I mean, apart from hearing all the actors yap about how much they love this plane crash story, it was cool hearing the production designer talk about recreating a plane crash site in a forest. Also: Mishael is still gorgeous as [!@#$%^&*] and KSJ when he's not playing Neil oozes Le Sex.

Damn. Suddenly I want to tune in for this mess.

It reminds me of Sunset Beach going into desperate stunt mode, but at least they had a sense of humor about themselves.

This is just one big belch of hysteria. I don't know or care about what's going on. And for all the, "SEE? THIS IS HOW YOU DO SWEEPS!!!" reactions I've seen in some places, I wonder how many viewers give a [!@#$%^&*].

tbh it's only the bts snippet that makes me want to tune in, not the teaser itself.

And how dare you tarnish my precious Sunset Beach with Y&R's current shabby production fuckery! SuBe's Shockwave was a template on how you do a disaster sweeps right, and it was so enjoyable to watch, from the tongue-in-cheek stuff to actual moments of real peril for the characters.

The show has turned extremely insane overnight, that's all I can say. The disaster is one thing, but the teens' plot where they artificially assemble everyone between the ages of 18 and 33 (or 40, in the case of Greg Rikaart) at a cabin and have them become embroiled in a slasher-style murder mystery for truly baffling reasons, is really nuts. It is sheer hysteria. Even Frons' soaps never turned on a dime this fast.
