Not a single actor on this top 10 list ever contributed a single episode to GH's successs. This is the legacy of Guza that not a single remnant from the time when the show actually had more than six people watching were on. Each and every one of these people could disappear tomorrow and the show would be improved.

Some of Cartini's hires aren't exactly spring chickens either

Maurice has appeared in 78% of the episodes in the last 12 year

Assuming the show doesnt get cancelled and she's still on, Kelly Monaco is set to surpass Steve Burton for that #2 spot within the next 2 years

IDA with that. The Sonny/Brenda/Jax story was highly successful and popular in the 90s. I think its a discredit to Maurice and Ingo to disregard their contributions to the show. The case could be made for many of the rest of that list, especially Rebecca Herbst as well

Ok, I give you Sonny, Jax and Brenda. That was a popular story from a time when GH was highly regarded. If you want to say LL2 then ok BH had a modest contribution to late 90s GH. Kelly Monaco and Nancy Lee Grahn??? These are the stars GH decided to put front and center for 12 years? Laura Wright, as forgettable and assembly line a soap actress as an actress can possibly get?

The show always needs new people but they destroyed the show when they got rid of literally everybody who made GH GH all at once.

I love me some classic GH, but I can't agree. First if we are just counting eyes watching a screen, everyone on this list was on GH during higher ratings than today. I hate what Guza did to the show, but other than Sam, all those characters and actors had merit, and could still in proper storylines. I don't think it should ever be at the expense of folks like Alan, Monica, AJ, Georgie, Laura, Bobbie, Felicia, ( the list is near endless really) though. And I don't hate Kelly Monoco. Sam is just a terrible, underwritten character, that was a Guza pet but wasn't safe from having everything unique about her stripped away by his team over the years.

Thanks! So much greatness at the top spots

Btw, Michael Easton was credited as playing Nathan on the 2014 episode count list.

his airtime took a nose dive after they moved Sam out of his sphere. He really hasnt had much story this fall outside of being played by Ava

Based on the lack of conversation about his character, I'd assumed Easton was on some kind of long vacation.
