HI, MY NAME IS...MANDRAKE

Sal Landi has been cast as Mandrake. Per his IMDB resume, his first episode will air on October 30 (right around the time that Sami's last episode airs). Here's the casting call info from earlier this year for Mandrake: "40-to-55-year-old male..."threatening dangerous professional looking male"...actors of all ethnicities will be considered..."not a thug type"...actors must be at least 6'0" to be considered. Mandrake will be a principal role and appear in a four-show story arc." Although the casting call states it is for 4 episodes, Landi has listed 9 episodes, all airing during November sweeps.

Landi may look familiar to "Days" viewers, as he's been appearing on numerous TV shows since the early 1980's. In recent years, Landi has guest starred on "The Mentalist", "CSI", "Desperate Housewives", "American Horror Story", "Scandal", "Revenge" and "Rizzoli & Isles."

I hope he isn't a magician.

Yep. Just as I had suspected. Mandrake the Magician's going to make Sami disappear. (Which might be awesome if you think about it. Mandrake performs a magic act, Sami vanishes, EJ leaves town to find her.)
