Wow. I thought he was still on Revenge. Only saw a couple of episodes last season, but I remember they made a big deal out him coming on the show- lots of press with plenty of shirtless shots. Was he fired? ITA with others, he would've been awesome choice for Billy, but this will work.

And aren't MCE and Chrishell friends? I can see MCE and Hartley looking good together and hopefully having good chemistry.

imo, that's all gone/under the bridge, now. This casting was for Gina/Phyllis. They will be the 'new' super couple Y&R will be trying to push, hard.

For once, I will reserve judgement. I didn't catch too much of him (or anyone else) on PASSIONS, so I have no clue how good (or bad) he might be as Adam. I've heard from some who liked him and his character on the show, but that might not be saying much. I will say this, though: regardless of his acting abilities, Mr. Hartley is more attractive than MM, and that is a HUGE plus.

But Justin Hartley is a daytime vet -- and besides, we never agreed that primetime actors joining Y&R or any other soap was categorically a bad thing, so your argument is baseless.

He was only recurring. And he was cast on some pilot that didn't get picked up

I wouldn't call Hartley a soap vet. He had a couple of years in soaps and then left for primetime.
