I would've kept him. I thought he clicked in his certain sphere, I thought the problem was the story and what they were trying to make him do.

Billy Abbott has never grown up no matter who's playing him so David Tom's youthful affect was not an issue for me, although NuNuBilly, The Oldest Living Confederate Divorcee, may change that.

This dude is giving me shades of Where Are They Now?: Winsor Harmon as Del Henry. Mistake. If I was DT, I'd be very offended. But his vindication is right there on the screen for the world to see.

Ok. I like nunuBilly and Chelsea too. I think I'm officially a Chelsea fangurl. She makes everything better.

I liked Del more than this. And I didn't really like Del much.

This is like a slightly bizarro version of the Ryan Bittle casting as J.R. on AMC last summer - he was also too old for the part but he made it work because Dixie had been a teen mom, because businessman and tortured dad Jacob Young had come before him, and because Bittle was quite good as was the writing. None of those factors are in play here. Plus this dude looks rough as hell.

Groups like "the DT stans, the Heinle haters, and the Villy haters" are the reson soap execs are tuning out internet boards. Throw in the Michael Muhney stans, and you've got a frickin circus.

These people are NUTS, so any good point that is made is lost. I'm to the point of being bothered more by these internet idiots than by anything I see on YR.

But stans are who YR turned the show over to years ago, and now it's killing them. They've been trying to keep them happy at the expense of the whole show, and look at the decisions they are making because of it.

So. much. word.

Y&R made its decision and it has utterly RUINED the show.

I don't think Cady is working in this part either. Love her but she's a bit miscast here. Kelly Sullivan would kill this role. She's younger but IMO would be fabulous toe to toe with Gina Tognoni.

Kelly Sullivan, no way.

Cynthia Watros was the only reason Kelly worked, without her, this character needs to go now.

So true, Watros in the little time she played Kelly, made a mark on the role

I wasn't really watching when CW was in the role, so for what it's worth, in a vacuum/bubble, CM is doing a fine job to me. Clixie has nice chemistry in an old school '40s/'50s romcom kind of way.

The role wasn't much to begin with but Watros at least gave it something. Cady is a brilliant actress but she suffers when the role is poor or the story isn't there.

It's simply she is miscast in the role. It's not really her fault. I don't think y and r auditioned actresses for the Kelly recast they offered Cady the part. There should have been an audition process. Gina went through a grueling audition process for Phyllis she wasn't offered the role she had to earn it in her audition and screen test which I heard was as tough as it gets.

The problem is that Kelly was a broken woman trying to put the pieces of her life back together in between making mistakes and friends. CM takes over and they immediately change the role to some opera loving ding dong head over heals for Jack. The character really should have left with CW.

Thing is I blame the writers a lot more than Cady for this mess with the Kelly character's complete personality change

I agree. They changed the role to get started on the Kelly/Jack/Phyllis triangle.
