Well, they're tearing 'em all down for high-rise apartments because they were all taken over by gangs and crime in the area (lol).

I would have liked to have seen the set again (since they apparently have it). How about they also put the old pier back up .... ya know, REAL sets. That pier just FIT so well into the feel of the show. Instead we get closeups of sets that look horribly painted and put together. Seriously, have you guys seen the awful paint jobs? Oy.

This is completely off topic and it shows you how the world has changed, but 30 years ago Scotty wanted to tear down the waterfront area to make way for gentrification (strip malls I think) and the show took the view he was a villain because the poor people were being displaced. FF to 2014 and the same thing is going on and Michael is a hero for destroying the old neighborhood to put up ugly, sun blocking, condo towers with rents too high for the middle class to afford.

They should have done it more akin to real life and have Lucas and Felix turn into into a gay/hipster paradise and then have Michael come in and yuppify it.

Very true on all that. I did roll my eyes when Michael sort of shrugged off them having to pay higher rent. How nice. And what happens to these people when their buildings are torn down and new ones are going up? I know I shouldn't even try and make this realistic, or make sense, but it just sounds a bit ridiculous.

I have a feeling the MetroCourt rooms are now going to be Brownstone apartments. Hence why they have Franco living with Carly and finally showing her house again (of course it's also so Josslyn can be nasty towards him and have Franco look all innocent while Josslyn looks like a brat for not liking Franco, even though I loved her kicking him and stepping on his foot. She has more fire in her than Carly has had in a looong time)

Neither do you. You're acting like the show is committing the ultimate travesty of demolishing the old brownstone set - which, God knows if they still have it or not - when the actual location hasn't been seen in aeons and is now being redone and brought back into regular use. You're not making sense, you're just trying to rag on the show for whatever you can on any given day for the flimsiest of reasons. I remember the brownstone and I don't give a [!@#$%^&*] what it looks like, I'm just happy to have the location back. For all the fucked-up things on this show, bringing back the brownstone is the least of its problems.
