Finally caught up with the comments...

First off Anika. I see a lot of people turned against her over drugging Elle. It was a despicable thing to do. And I was mad for all of 1 second and then I was all "Oooh, Kitty. You are one bad ass unscrupulous scheming Bitch". That moment made her character for me. She is worthy adversary for Cookie! She's the anti-heroine to Cookie's beloved heroine. Anika will do what she has to do to hold onto the power that she has at Empire. She helped make it obviously. And she won't give it up without a fight. The show needs this.

I like the grandbaby. She is a as cute as a button. I think it is clear that she will be Jamal's. I don't know why they didn't do a DNA test right away. I feel like whether she is biologically a Lyon or not, they are going to keep her. And Jamal. How is he going to snatch the baby away then prop her in Cookie's lap.

I was happy to see Dora leave. And the actor that plays this new guy played in one of my all time TV series EVER! He was Petros on Spartacus. I am excited about that.

Lucious And Cookie...YES! when Hakeem and Jamal asked Lucious if there was something he needed and he looked past them to Cookie...Yes! I knew it was going down. I almost felt bad for Kitty. Almost! But I couldn't stomach any sympathy. Not because of what happened with Elle either. But because I want Cookie and Lucious together and if people get hurt in pursuit of that, I don't care. I just have no [!@#$%^&*] to give. And count me is as one who isn't impressed with this idea that they have to make Cookie "pure" while Lucious has sowed all his damn oats. It's patriarchal BS that I can do without. I am praying that they played that beat to make it burn even more when Cookie hooks up with the head of security. Otherwise, FAIL!

Really loved Lucious' talk with Jamal about him finding someone who understands what it is like to be with an artist. I still maintain that Jamal is Lucious' favorite child.

I really liked Cookie delivering the speech and wowing the crowd. Cookie Lyons is everything!

And you better believe that EVERY network is looking to green light their very own EMPIRE next season. I am sure execs have seen pitch after pitch. Let's see who has the balls to actually pull the trigger. I think Fox did it because of the success of Sleepy Hollow, in which they screwed up trying to push white leads this season.

I hope they release the original version of Terrence Howard's "You're So Beautiful," a.k.a. Lucious' old song that played when he and Cookie threw down last week. I've only heard a very poor quality full version of it online, but it's nice. The new version with the family (in the preview) sounds great, too.

    • Ted has been icky and giving off bad guy vibe from the first moment I saw him. I have a sensor for that and it was beeping! So...don't put all the blame on Silkpress. The woman needs a good psychiatrist, true... but Leslie is just one of the skeletons in HIS closet. Ted is even a bigger monster, because he's hidden.  IT WAS A PERFECT REVEAL. Perfect, because in the beginning of the show... Dani was envying her sister's marriage... In these first few messy weeks... her own misery and life spiraling was contrasted to the picture-perfect marriage Nicole and Ted seemed to have. (on first glance). What happened now... is very very smart writing. THIS IS THE MOMENT THE MASKS ARE FALLING! The message it delivers to me is this. It says - no matter how things look... they are not what they seem. You can't judge a marriage by how it appears to be. Aaaand in the long run... maybe the messiest-looking people (Dani Dupree, I'm talking about you!) HAVE less issues and problems than the ones that seem to have it all. The ones with the MOST skeletons in the closets and the dirty pasts.   It was an AHA moment for the whole family and the viewers and a way forward for Dani and Nicole to bond even more and realize they are MORE alike than they are different. Now it will be quite a different dynamic, because Dani will have to SUPPORT someone and not be the one getting her wounds licked always. And also another lesson. Some men are dogs. Not all of them. But a lot of them are. The difference is... some can't be easily recognized. These creeps have put very impressive masks. The show is doing this perfectly. Beat by beat. Exploring classic soap opera themes and stories. Real-life characters and situations, that are relatable and make you think... Hmm... maybe I need to dig a little deeper next time I say "these people are perfect" or otherwise. Maybe I need to think MORE. That type of storytelling. It's not easy to do that.  Brava BTG.  B-R-A-V-A!
    • I speculate that Nicole will go through cycles of numbness/grief/rage.  At some point later on, regardless of DNA results (or faked results), whether there was a baby swap or not, I think Nicole will forgive Eva, and eventually love her someday.  Nicole will come to understand that Leslie gaslighted/manipulated Eva.  Nicole will be her loving self, although more guarded than before.   Just my thoughts.
    • Lol. That comment was just silly.  I feel like The Guiding Light started it when they made me love Roger Thorpe. Leslie is pussycat in comparison and there is a lot of story to go  for her and Eva.
    • Your posts continue to amuse me. I don't know anyone else who thinks Leslie and Eva should "hightail it out of town."  And listen, soaps have been FOR DECADES keeping around villains who we know would be jailed in real life. So is it crazy to think "they are just going to let this slide"? No. It's kind of hilarious to watch you take everything that happens on this show and distort it or lead me to think, "Huh???"
    • I can't even count the amount of magazine covers and photoshoots KKL has been in the past few months. Shame that the show is not mirroring the success she's having. It would have been so great to see both KKL and Brooke be on top.  I'm still holding a grudge that Brad rewrote the company take-over to a nothing... and then nulled Brooke to being a romance beggar again.
    • I'm also getting an error that I haven't seen before, but there's been a couple of different variations, so not going to worry about it for now.
    • Finally got to sit down and watch. Wow!  When LesDanLuAnn said to Ted, this your daughter. I started tearing up...... Eva got me.  I felt like I was watching a soap opera.

    • The drag was when Tad and Edmund went to Budapest (?) in 1997 to get Maddie back from Dimitri.
    • I know it's not happening but on the surface, there's nothing left for Leslie and Eva to do but to hightail it out of town, if they value their lives. Leslie has destroyed Ted's image, embarrassed and humiliated his wife and children, and unearthed the wrath of the entire Dupree family. She's crazier than I thought if she thinks they are just going to let this slide.
    • It will be amazing if we could record the skipped episodes. Did someone sent a list of the skipped youtube episodes to the guys that are filling in the gaps?
