What soap house (past or present) would you like to live in?

Jack and Carly's house on ATWT, at least before they shortened it and took out the stairs. And could expand the kitchen.

Or Hal and Barbara's house. I loved that kitchen.

Wildwind on AMC. I loved the Chandler Mansion, but those tunnels weren't secure at all. Yikes.

After Wildwind, probably either Linden House or the Victorian mansion Erica lived in after that.

What years? I didn't know about her living in a victorian house.

DAYS: Marlena's penthouse for sure!!! I would also take the loft with the sliding metal door (used to be John's, then Brady's, then Belle's)

Circa '99-'02, IIRC. It was the house Erica admired while walking home from school each day. Trey burned it down.

Here's the house:

Speaking of this set, Is the scene where Erica gets the 19 bouquets of pink roses (a wink-wink to Susan's Emmy win) on YouTube? I haven't seen it since it aired.

I would live in Margo Huntington's penthouse on The Edge of Night. Very urban with a nice view of the city.

Yes, gorgeous and stylish, although the terrace always freaked me out. I imagine poor Miles when he was whooping it up out there.

Dorian had a few penthouse sets, but this one is my favorite. It reminds me of Frasier's Seattle apartment, which I also liked.

I have to admit this is my favorite, and I would have been tempted to live there, even with that huge array of windows that Diane flies out of.

It's a part of the 80s design that fascinates me. You can imagine Dorian and a few guests doing lines in there.

The Horton home on "Days," hands down. From that show, I also loved the Sami/Austin/Carrie/Lucas apartments (God, the new set designers butchered it with the remodel a couple years ago once it was Daniel's, post-Danloe) and Bo & Hope's house (esp. when it was Jenn's when we saw more of it). Hope/Kayla/Jenn/John/Brady/Belle's loft was great, too (but f that awful yellow paint in its final years!).

On AMC, my fav. (and one of the only good ones, IMO) was Erica's house others have noted circa late 90's/early 00's.

GH in the 90's had great sets--Bobbie's Brownstone, Mac's house, and the lighthouse were lovely. The twin penthouses were even great. All the sets got really retooled and downscaled with JFP.

However, I think OLTL had the best sets! Home-wise, my favorites were Llanfair, La Boule (sp.?), Viki's cabin, Cristian and Rex's lofts . . . and, my very favorite, Llanfair's carriage house!!!

Loving also had some gorgeous, intricately detailed sets in the 80s. The Donovan and Rescott homes make me feel warm and happy when I see them.

I also really liked the Snyder living room/den.

Robert and Anna's house definitely if only for the sliding wall and sauna.

As a kid I loved Miles and Nicole's penthouse on EON with the spiral staircase and terrace.

Erica had a great duplex in the 80s

This is going to be weird but Shawn and Mimi had a great loft on DOOL in the mid 2000s I think I would love to live in, as I would love Milo's apartment currently on GH

That was actually Robert and HOLLY's house. I think Robert and Anna lived in the old Webber house together.

I can't remember if it's the Chandler mansion or Erica's NYC apartment, but there was an AMC home in the early 80s with these great big arches set to the left with sort of a hallway beyond the arches and then arched doorways beyond the hallway. Crappy description, I know.

The Carrington mansion on Dynasty.

Closely followed by the Colby's LA mansion on The Colby's.

What years? I didn't know about her living in a victorian house.

Erica left a remodeled Linden House in late 1998 and moved into a Victorian house across Pine Valley. She said she'd admired it often as a child, and when it came on the market, she decided to buy it. It was the house she lived in from late 1998/early 1999 until Trey Kenyon burned it to the ground in 2002. In early 1999, Ryan and Gillian hid out in an empty Linden House while hiding from the police over Kit's rape - Erica had already moved out but knew they were there. It was implied that she continued to own it, but for whatever reason, Erica never moved back in there.

Sorry - I should have scrolled through the rest of page 2. I didn't realize this had already been answered.

I almost forgot that Llanfair had a few secret rooms itself. it had the infamous Victor Lord secret room of the 80's ("rebuilt" for Dorian in 1995) and then the room Tess held Natalie and Jarrod in (which came with a bathroom...very cool) in 2008. and then the tunnel that went into a little area with the big treasure chest that had stairs that went up to Viki's childhood bedroom in 2003. That was creepy.

I wouldn't like Labolie because we've only seen the foywer, the kitchen and the living room. That's like a sitcom house.

I actually enjoyed Sonn'y original penthouse (not his first apartment in PC) the one that had belonged to Sean Donnelly before him. It was kind of sexy with the fireplace and the dinning area right infront of the windows and hidden kitchen. it was a lot sexier than the place he's in now. I don't know why they ever moved him out and never put anybody in there again.

Didn't Llanfair have a secret passage that led to Pine Valley or something like that connected to the chandlers mansion??
