Y&R Question about hit and run (Delia)

I see that some of you guys were speculating that Kelly may be the real hit and run driver in Delia's death. Why are you thinking it was NOT Adam? His SUV had damage in the right place and Delia's scarf was wrapped underneath it. And he certainly thinks he did it. What am I missing? Thanks.

I think originally they were setting it up so perhaps Kelly or Nikki had done it JUST IN CASE, but this Michael Muhney thing probably made them take the most logical way out. Honestly, since they're killing of a child they may as well go with a more straight-forward tale instead of making it too convoluted.

One of the main reasons I wasn't thinking of Adam as the Hit and Run driver is b/c it was just too obvious. In other words, I was assuming he was a red herring, and someone with no connections would be the driver. One of my strongest feelings was Kelly may have been driving the SUV that hit Delia. There's still a possibility, but now that MM is leaving the show, Adam may be the one arrested for it. But in the end they'll find the real person.

Considering Adam will eventually be recast, I just don't see the writers having him guilty of such a crime.

Kelly being the hit and run driver while sleeping with Billy? Looks like Altman pulled a MAB here...

Then again, the latest theory I read was that Billy killed Kelly's son by accident while he was in one of his drunken stupors and that Kelly is back for revenge. That sounds like a classic Passanante gem right there.

In any case, the story of Delia's death has been another unnecessary flop.

That would be some sick stuff, if they had Kelly INTENTIONALLY hunt down Delia so she could kill her for revenge and then bed Billy? That might actually surpass the Burning Fetus and AMC's lesbian-rape-so-she-can-have-child (#1 and got my to quit AMC after 20+ years) as my current most demented storylines.

At first I didn't think it Adam. As the previous poster stated. It was too obvious. The writers seemed to want their two lead guys getting all this airtime for the story but have no payoff to the viewers. Typical soap writing nowadays. But now that Muhney isleaving, Adam definitely hit her. Here's hoping the creative direction of the show never makes recasting Adam necessary.

    • Welcome back, Will and Eric!  They were both used so well today. I’m so glad that they’re going to be here for Marlena and everybody. She definitely needs them. And I love that we got a flashback of Will and John, and that Will credits him as the reason that he’s so courageous. Hopefully, he has scenes with Arianna coming up, and possibly Doug III. I think there’s a storyline there, especially considering what Will said about her being so stubborn and also a little similar to John. Btw, even though Chandler Massey is technically old enough to have an 18 year old child, he definitely doesn’t look it lol  And we got a Will and Paul reunion too. It really is too bad that we can’t get them full time. There’s still so much drama that can be mined from the two of them, and their relationships with Sonny and Andrew, especially now. But with Leo still slithering around, I guess it’s for the best that we’re not getting that

And I love that Will was there for Johnny too. We never really got to see their relationship on screen and I’m glad that we got some of it today. I wish their scenes had been a little longer though. There’s a lot more that they need to discuss about EJ and the rape. But I like that Will comforted him about whether or not he was worthy of having John’s name. And that Marlena was able to shrink him about leaving EJ in the square after he fell.  Eric’s reunion with everybody was really sweet too. I loved the dorky family moment Belle is still being a total douche but I like the drama of her storyline. And I do think that she isn’t being completely stupid, when it comes to EJ. I’m glad that she has Brady though, who was also used very well today. He was breaking my heart in the scene where he was at John’s bedside.  And, congratulations EJ. I think lol  But I have to say, all this talk about John’s miraculous recovery is a little tough to here And, the final scene with John and Marlena
    • Reva should have had a stroke...leaving her permanently MUTE.  Not able to utter a single sound, not even the slightest blubber or gurgle.

And shakin’ me up so, that all I really know is here you come again… and here I go  Enjoy, @Soapsuds
    • I'm still hoping that Leslie turns out to be Sharon's daughter. As I think it could bring another dynamic to the show and the Duprees eventually will need a rival family.

I said Dorian Harewood on Twitter would be good for Dante Green too.

    • Could Nikki just be a big Gram Parsons fan? I think it works for Julie, but they should be doing better by Traci - none of this, from hair to wardrobe, is flattering.
    • To be fair, I don't think she was written out as much as not being written for as they had to gear up for the final episode. I'd assume they might've had the option to use her again but they just didn't find the space.
    • Seems Traci and Julie on Days are both shopping at 'Granny's Garments'. You just can't go wrong with a loose print long line jacket (hides those figure faults, gals), a comfy pair of slacks, a scoop neck T and some chunky accent jewelry. And don't forget your crowning glory-a wash 'n' go hair do.
