I tried to watch today's episode on SoapNet. It was so bad I stopped after 20 minutes.

-LOL at Patrick going off on Carlos. Your wife just came back from the dead and your chasing after your ex?

-Too bad Robin stopped Maxie. She has been so annoying since FRon took over. The reveal was a huge disappointment.

-Spinelli and Ellie e5001773.gif Um, Spinelli and Robin weren't friends. They knew each other through Jason and Maxie, but that's about it. Waste of scenes.

-Franco looks and acts like a teenager. WTF was he wearing? I hope he kills Carly for being so stupid.

-Still hate Ava and I hope Sonny kills her.

-RC is picking up from Guza by making Scott a huge !@#$%^&*]. So much for vets. e8141.gif

Horrible episode overall. I missed Felix though. He should be there supporting Sabrina if she falls.

He's not a teacher - only applied. It was just a plot point to get him out of the room so Heather could go after Carly. After a while, it's so easy to spot these things.

However, I must say that it might be surprising just how quickly a FrankenTodd class would fill should he get a job. People would find him fascinating.

BTW, Francly were all kinds of hot! Damn! So very hot. Too bad there's no story to back up all that heat! RH and LW are amazing together! Yowza!!!!!

Kathy Boudin was a political radical who served her time. Franco is an unpunished serial killer and domestic terrorist - and unlike Boudin, who could at one point have been classed the same, he had no ideology. He just wanted to kill people.

    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • BTG joke immediately followed by an AMC joke (same context)
    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.
