I'll miss Kyle, as he's been around since 2008 in a recurring/regular capacity, and he's a likeable, fun character. I won't miss Amber at all, who is the worst character on the show right now; she's a whiney drip 99% of the time, and Jenna's acting has been ropey at best for the majority of the last 2 years (only recently has she shown signs of improvement during Matt's death). Sadly, the Turners have been a failure of a family, due to poor character development, boring personalities, bad writing, and bad acting from some of them; the family was never really going to survive.

Also, it's increasingly likely that Saskia Hempele (Georgia Canning) has left the show. She's been in LA for the past month, talking about meeting casting agents. It's taken a while for Kyle & Georgia to work as a couple, but they finally do, and I will miss them.

I'm currently watching ED and EE, although EE has become a bit of a chore over the last 2 months. Basically, all of the show's underlying issues that DTC (and every other producer before him) hasn't fixed, so at least once the a year the show sucks b/c of those issues - poor continuity, bad pacing and plotting, no character development, all leads to bad writing. DTC has based his whole tenure on hype, and the cracks are clear to see. Of course this was all evident early last year, but the online community is slow on the uptake and bought into the hype.

ED is pretty solid right now. It really helps that they have a variety of storylines and characters on screen, and that all the annoying, awful characters are on the backburner: Jai, James, Megan, Pete, the Dingles, the Spencers, Cain... Not that Cain is annoying or awful, just that he has grown stale of late, and needs a fresh new direction.

Jenna Rosenow could do alright in the US-that combo of blonde hair, big boobs, big eyes and big teeth will land her an agent at least.

Talk about getting good and bad news. Kyle will be sorely missed. To add insult to injury, they'll probably write Bossy out as well. :(

Amber, on the other hand ... Daniel and Josh being free of her is most exciting.

Aleks could have been good. Him and Roxy started out well, and the little found family that was around for all of five minutes between him, Tina, Tosh and Jake was enjoyable, but they decimated it quickly. The whole secret wife story was atrocious and thus he became irrelevant.

Oh, that's disappointing news. I liked Aleks, and thought he had heaps of potential; he was a strong, snarky 30-something male, who didn't take [!@#$%^&*] from Kat and Co. on the market.

He and Roxy also had potential, but of course, underdeveloped. Now we're left with the horrid and unimaginative Ronnie/Charlie/Roxy triangle that is predictable and unnecessary.

Bright Eyes: I had totally forgotten about Bossy! You're right that it's highly likely that when Kyle leaves, he'll take Bossy with him - the best dog in all of soap land.

I was hoping Ben Richards would eventually join one of the regular soaps. He's fricking hot. I'm glad he's OK after his bowel cancer ordeal. He's with a lovely lady who had something like 6 miscarriages before finally having a child by him this year.

OUT:

Eastenders: James Forde (Liam Butcher) is leaving later this year.

Such a shame that they never really invested in this character. They should've had him followed in his grandpa, David's, footsteps and be the Square's young heartthrob/cad.

James Forde was a terrible actor, so no big loss. They can recast again in a few years with someone much better (hopefully).

I wonder what this means for Carol and how much longer Lindsey will stay on.

I like James Forde. I think he is a good little actor. I just think that he needed more material than what was given; he could've grown as an actor if given the chance.
