I will say this. Epperson in the rollers is a riot! But then, she's good, and can do comedy on a shoestring. And yeah... Ranger mentioned she's acting like Brenda in the video. What's up with that? I notice the stony silence from everyone on that issue.

The name doesn't bother me, since it's a satire of the behind the scenes of a soap. It's also based on her book series so I don't see it as a copy of Y&R, but a satire of it. More like Scream and the Scary Movie franchise.

It doesn't have sitcom production values, either.

I know that's the Kickstarter video only, but the production values are truly awful--like high school student film level. Even most other current low budget webseries look better.

Yep, the one that Thom Beirdz is in looks 10 times better than that, and believe me.. Leon Acord ain't got diddly to work with money wise, but it looks quite good!

Is that Old Dogs? I saw a handful of them--not brilliant acting or writing (IMHO only, mind you) but I certainly agree with you in comparison to this "clip" or whatever. If she really thinks someone would consider airing it on TV--when there are already a lot of web shows that would love to switch over and do look much more professional... Well...

(and I too wondered about her imitating Brenda Dickson.)

I actually don't think she was, sadly. I think she was just doing her schtick.

I don't view this as a representation of the production values for the actual series. It's on the same level as most Kickstarter teaser trailers. The one Shemar Moore made looked worse and it got over 500,000 raised.

You're probably right--but I still think SOME better effort could have been done--like a steady camera, sound... you know, pretty basic stuff.

And please, Victoria, never describe your show as "bubblelicious" again. Wasn't that an 80s bubble-gum slogan?

Whatever the purpose, it still came off like a postcard from the edge.

The concept is nothing worse than what Tyler is producing for OWN.

Except it's not a concept. It's a very loud hashtag to try and get back on Y&R.

Yep. Bubblicious is a brand of bubble gum that came out in the late 70s. It's major selling point was that it was strongly flavored. And yes, I was talking about Old dogs... I mean it is a web series, but at least a person can hold the camera still and mic someone.
