That is awesome. If the first 40 shows are a success maybe just maybe OWN will continue to air AMC & OLTL in blocks like this after the episodes air on Hulu and Itunes first

Did anyone notice they split the airing up, at one and three? Kinda strange. What will air in between them?

It's probably to cater to the old-school ABCD fans who were AMC/OLTL fans but still watch GH; and then probably in part because of the PP/ABC licensing contract

Also PP-TOLN/OWN need to realize THIS is the chance to get the "what is a hula" crowd that has not watched yet/doesn't do computers. Hope they market far and wide beyond Twitter & FB.

But really trying to think objectively since I don't know a ton about this network, this should do well right? Its not like OWN has been lighting it up ratings wise? Hope they do some weekend/late night airings- maybe with that new Tyler Perry soap?

First off, P&G soaps are not being produced independently, AMC and OLTL are, which makes them an attractive acquisition for a businessperson, no production costs and a cut of revenue. You have to remember that Oprah is a businessperson, she has to make smart choices.

I also just realized, 40 episodes won't even have aired online by the time this starts, pretty awesome, I wonder how much the gap between the online debut and airing on OWN will close towards the end
