Of course Days of Our Lives could win now, there's not much competition left. It's like Herman Cain or Sarah Palin winning an election because most politicians resigned from office or died.

Well the Emmy people love the Bell soaps and to a lesser extent GH historically, so this is a real shocker.

And Aisha Tyler's opening of the WRONG envelope, of course.

I wouldn't say "to a lesser extent" about GH, considering they're the winningest soap of all time.

So. This was an unmitigated trainwreck, clusterf*ck disaster of a show. The worst Daytime Emmys ever.

However, there are 3 outstanding moments:

1) Corbin Bernsen's sh*t and f*ck. Jeanne would have been thrilled. Heck, even the CBS Twitter was loving it.

2) DAYS wins Best Drama, at last!

3) Aisha Tyler gracefully handles that wrong envelope.

And honourable mentions to Kathy Griffin and Carrie Fisher for being great presenters.
