When I was a child, I used to watch old Ester Williams movies. I hated movies with music, but I absolutely loved to watch her swimming. It was mesmerizing. She did all those flips and turns, she really was an athlete. Just thinking about her swimming makes me smile.

    I find it so interesting that people back then liked to watch girls swimming set to music. This was basically a genre of one person, I think sometimes directed by Busby Berkeley. I have never seen any of her movies but there is no denying she would have her own chapter in the history of Hollywood.
