PP: AMC & OLTL to air twice weekly

Nat was his name.

For barely a scene Shelter was used as a restaurant and not a bar. I just can't see Viki hanging out at Shelter on a regular night. So I don't really want just Shelter only episodes for two or more straight episodes as that would be unrealistic to see her there and Viki shouldn't be off screen for weeks on end without any explanation.

Who would you have an antagonist for the Bukes (the Alexis to their Carringtons, or Cliff Barnes to their Ewingses, if you will)?

I like the idea of using Shelter more in order to save money and allow different characters and stories to converge. Reminds me of when KNOTS LANDING did the same first with Richard Avery's restaurant, and later Lotus Point. Perhaps, Cutter and/or Blair gets the idea of using Shelter as a restaurant by day/club at night?

If they manage to not write him as a joke, I'd say Carlo.

If they have the budget I would keep Dorian around too, I'm just not sure where she'd go. Perhaps the hospital.

I almost said that too (about Viki). I guess she could turn into Niki...(joking).

I think they've already done a lovely, subtler and more mature job with both David and the campy government conspiracy storyline RC set up. I think they can easily do well with Carlo Hesser. But I'm not sure about doing that any time soon. I do expect to see Alex if these shows press on - Cutter is prime material for that.

I expect more restaurant, etc. sets will (or would) surface with more funding and revenue. The Palace, the Angel Square Diner, etc. (I'd want it back as opposed to the Buenos Dias)

Here's an idea.

How about you AMC/OLTL fans just be glad you have your show back in any way, shape, or form. I can name a good number of P&G soap fans who would kill to have their shows back.

The entitlement attitude of the ABC soap fans has always sickened me and this is just yet another example of why. Boo-HOO, your returning shows are only two days a week.

Jane can easily be weaved into the plot of AMC quickly, as I'm sure we'll see on the actual show.

I hope so. (At this point, I'll even take Jane as Bonnie McFadden.) Because, right now, she's as generic as her name.

How about stop calling people entitled cause you don't like what they have to say, kthanx.

You think P&G fans wouldn't be pissed if this were their soaps this had been done too. dream again if you think that. I already know some P&G soap fans who are saying cause of this move that they're glad it wasn't their soaps that they did this too.

Oh, dear. Here we go...

You have been one hell of a Negative Nellie from the beginning. You've crapped upon anyone who was trying to think positive about this situation. Coming in here every five minutes with "Well, Jamey says... Jamey says..." Who the hell cares what that bloated bitch says?! Every single step forward that was made, you gleefully spit in its face because, for some reason, you needed to be proven right that this venture would fail. It's a goddamn joke that you're all of a sudden, one, watching these shows with investment to the point of being "pissed" and, two, getting upset at someone calling people "entitled." Weren't you the one boasting with pride that you weren't drinking the Prospect Park Kool-Aid... as if anyone who didn't bitch every five seconds about Prospect Park were? So it's fine for you (and others... Elsa, I see your Jane of Arc ass) to insinuate people are acting like brainwashed cult members, but it's wrong for someone to say others are "entitled?" This (repetitive) hypocrisy is really obnoxious.

Khan: "Joan."

R Sinclair: "What?"

Khan: "It's...um...it's JOAN of Arc."

R Sinclair: "What the g-ddamn difference does it make? She knows who the hell I'm talking about!"

Khan: "Sorry."

R Sinclair: "Yeah, you're sorry alright."

That's primarily why I've suggested trimming the casts even further (allowing most, if not all, characters to be featured every episode) and picking up the pace of stories.

It'd also help to pen more umbrella stories so the characters can feel more connected to each other.

AMC needs to expand the cast. Some critical core cast are STILL missing which shows gaps/holes in the show, overall. AMC cannot be called The David Hayward Show or The Opal Show, the show is called ALL MY CHILDREN. The younger age demo supported by the older cast and generations provided to audiences too.

Darnell, Debbi, Vincent, David Canary, Julia Barr, among others are the Over 50 group and Over the key age demo that PP is seeking out for their numbers. The key age demo for advertisers is 18-49 so the teen set/20 somethings on the show has to be the primary focus for advertisers.

The writing will have to change pretty soon.

and Susan and MEK will have to come back for long term survival of the show and expansion has to happen.

I agree that tighter casting and storytelling is a must, but I always feel that way, even with 5-a-week soaps. You can't have characters who are just there with vague plans of using them later. Develop a core group, define it and its purpose, focus the show on that core group. Transitioning them from daytime soaps to primetime dramas, essentially.

If viewers don't start seeing some of their old favorites Zendall and Rylee or others in a timely manner, then they won't watch the show. Fans want their OLD show back and ASAP. A tighter cast will never happen since the show really is All My Children. The title has to equal the content.

When Loving went off the air, characters from that show were brought over to a new show called The City and it collapsed and failed pretty quickly and was cancelled. I fear the exact same thing is ultimately going to happen with AMC on-line versus AMC on ABC network. I don't know the solution on how to fix things for the on-line version to prevent that kind of thing happening again like Loving and The City. I just have an uneasy feeling but I am continuing to do my part to watch the show and see what happens.

I'm sorry, but expanding the cast when it's "on" only twice a week just feels impossible to me. As it is, we have certain characters fighting for airtime. If they expand the cast too much, the most airtime anyone would get would be for 20 seconds.

For me, I find it refreshing not having Ryan Greenlee here. They ate the ABC series whole. So a Break from them is nice imo

I agree stay with the contract cast we have now. If others are needed bring them in & out as story dictates

I wouldn't say that either. There ARE several actors/characters currently on AMC that I, for one, could do without.
