May 18, 201312 yr Member As I mentioned in another thread, I've had FX on all morning and afternoon while I catch up on some work on my computer - and they are still advertising the soaps relentlessly. On another note, they've been playing American Horror Story all day. I keep taking peeks, and damn, that show looks scary! first season or 2nd. The second takes place at an asylum

Hmmm maybe I didn't see any of the ads last night because they don't run the ads during 30 Rock, which is what I was watching. I still think they have dropped the shows (why else delete the show pages?) but I should clearly retract my statement that the ads have stopped running. I have been checking out American Horror Story as well as that was the commercial they kept running last night and it caught my interest.
May 19, 201312 yr Member #AMC and #OLTL fans imagine how the fans of other canceled soaps like #ATWT, #GL, #AW feel, I'm sure they'd gladly take 2 eps. a week over 0
May 19, 201312 yr Member Not if they were being produced by Prospect Park on such a ridiculous production schedule. But that's just me.

May 19, 201312 yr Member I've lost many soaps over the years, and I'd be worried and disappointed if any of them came back and the same thing happened that is happening with AMC and OLTL as I'd fear for their survival. I've mourned for them, and if they came back and things got messed up I'd have to relive that loss. Please don't say that every P&G fan or Santa Barbara fan, Generations, Sunset Beach, Passions etc viewer thinks alike and as we're all unique. If I was told we'll get one special episode, a movie or miniseries of any soap I once watched I could happily accept it like a reunion special for example. I'm not sure if every fan of any of those shows would be cool with being jerked around. I'm hoping for the best, that we'll have these shows for at least the 110 episodes and even more, but I am not holding my breath as I've been let down enough times to know better. That said regardless of what happens, I am glad for the people who got to work again due to the revivals. Edited May 19, 201312 yr by ~bl~
May 19, 201312 yr Member All I can do right now is take the long view and hope it is better for the production schedule BTS. I do wonder how many years EE or Corrie were at 2 a week and they did just fine. If it's a sign of doom, at least we have a year or so of shows I intend to enjoy. But I already got these shows back so fast, which is more than I ever thought I'd get. Corrie was 2 a week for almost thirty years. Eastenders for about eight or nine years. I think in some ways two a week is almost better, as long as they manage to get everything together and get the audience. I guess that's the question. (I realize that isn't exactly profound)
May 19, 201312 yr Member I can live with it. I think it's viable. I'd rather have at least 3, but first I'd rather they make it to the one-year mark and hopefully beyond.

May 19, 201312 yr Member I think in some ways two a week is almost better, as long as they manage to get everything together and get the audience. I still worry, though, about the pace at which they're writing and producing these shows. Even if they were to produce just five eps per week (a little over two weeks' worth of episodes) that would be so much better, IMO.
May 19, 201312 yr Member They can learn. they could, but most think it's "too hard" or "they don't have the time"
