September 27, 201312 yr Member Did anyone watch?? Thoughts?? I love the cast but didnt like that there wasnt a laugh track...didnt know David E. Kelly was the EP of the show.
September 29, 201312 yr Member I liked it. While I love the cast, I thought in the pilot, Robin Williams was by far the funniest.
October 18, 201312 yr Member Full season Pickup. While I love the cast and am enjoying it, still not as funny as it could be. Needs more time to jell. Glad that CBS is being patient with it. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/10/18/cbs-gives-full-season-orders-to-the-crazy-ones-the-millers-mom/209992/
May 11, 201411 yr Member Gutted this got canceled. The cast was brilliant and the show was actually funny (with Robin Williams it couldn't not be), which is rare for comedies these days.

This is the first news from the up fronts that I've actually felt a reaction to. I fell in love with this show when I binge watched it over the Christmas to New Years work week. It reminded me a little of "WKRP in Cincinnati" and just like WKRP it was canceled prematurely. It deserved at least one more season. Edited May 11, 201411 yr by marceline

May 11, 201411 yr Member Frankly, I'm not surprised this show was canceled. Unless you're a procedural series, or one with a raucous studio audience that'll laugh at anything (and I do mean anything), you have no business being on CBS.
May 11, 201411 yr Member I'm sad this was canceled as well, I really liked the show but ratings (by CBS standards) was not great and single-cams, just never last on CBS.
May 11, 201411 yr Member Also, poor James Wolk. Isn't this the second series he's been in from the start that has been canceled? He's probably better off joining a series that's already established, like he did with "Happy Endings" (though that got canceled as well), "Mad Men" and "Shameless." Otherwise, if he joins another one from the beginning and it ends up getting the axe....
May 11, 201411 yr Member Yeah, He's becoming the next Cristian Slater (who also has a habit of picking shows that get canceled).
May 11, 201411 yr Member Wolk seems to be one of those pretty pony types. I remember the critics hyping Lone Star and trying to shame people for not bothering to watch it.
May 11, 201411 yr Member Yes ...loved loved the cast...but RW was not funny at all..its a shame. I really wanted this show to succeed. False! Robin Williams is one of the all time greats. Edited May 11, 201411 yr by Bright Eyes
May 11, 201411 yr Member He may be one of the all time greats but that does not mean he's still funny. But I'm genuinely confused. Why would a network cancel a show with demos in the upper 2s?
May 11, 201411 yr Member By the time the show ended, the demo was 1.6. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2014/04/18/thursday-final-ratings-greys-anatomy-adjusted-up/255190/
