Final thought on the Nurses Ball beyond what's been said already: I am livid that they didn't mention Stone. I really (stupidly) expected the Nurses Ball/Anniversary meant they would pay tribute to the groundbreaking Robin/Stone story. I liked some of the performances but really they should have just called this the hospital talent show or something. I expected Sonny & Brenda sharing a meaningful scene talking about what Robin and Stone meant to them, Mac remembering them in a speech at the ball; Lucy mentioning them with Stone's AIDS quilt panel in the background. Obviously I was overly optimistic. The performances were fun but this was just not the NB to me.

I wonder if they didn't want to get into details. I noticed that Patrick said Robin contracted HIV when "she was a kid." The writing made it sound like she was a small child. She was a "kid", in a sense - I think she was about 17 - but that's not how it sounded when he said it, to me anyway.
