ABC has released a statement indicating that since 1963 was General Hospital's first year on the air, technically this is the show's 51st anniversary. Therefore, the GH50 celebrations scheduled for this week, including the Nurses Ball, have been canceled. In related news,soapcentral.com has also confirmed that we made this up as an April Fool's joke ;-)

We need to face it, we're stuck with the cheap bullshit opening they have now. Frank Valentini is such a vision-less producer.

I honestly don't know how and why the current opening got network approval. I've seen college film students produce openings/graphics of higher quality.
