Hate to be the bearer of bad news folks, but legendary fitness guru, Richard Simmons, who had a 4 year recurring gig on GH, will be returning to GH just in time for the Nurses' Ball.

Simmons posted the following photo on his Facebook page:

Didn't he have some meltdown recently?

I think this is a nice touch. Simmons was certainly a part of GH's most popular era, and you won't have to give him a ton to do, just a few fun scenes.

Facewise, Richard looks just like one of my great aunts (RIP) now. It's a little scary.

I always found him to be annoying when he was on GH, but somehow I think it's very nice that they're including him in the 50th anniversary. I wish they would include Brian, Claudia, Lee, and Gail as well

Ah, I remember him on GH. He was doing classes at the campus disco...Bobbie, Amy, Susan Moore, Claudia, Laura, they would all go.

I didn't see the Access spot but I would guess what one person would call "going off the rails" someone else would call Richard's humor. It's like if someone says Robin Williams went off the rails, how could you tell?

Richard was hilarious on WLIIA. And Wayne Brady singing "Damn, look at that 'fro!" If you've never see the skit with Richard imitating a jet ski for Colin, look it up!
