Easton was hoping a schedule could be worked out that would allow him to appear on The OnLine Network's ONE LIFE TO LIVE as John McBain.

"There's a fairly lengthy paper trial documenting my discussions about how we could make it work," he explains. "I have a family now and I've never spent a night away from them, so trying to figure out how to make it work with us living in L.A. and OLTL shooting in Connecticut wasn't easy but we did seem to be working toward something. Prospect Park and ABC seemed like they wanted to work together but we just couldn't come to an arrangement. And then, suddenly, things built into a tempest between the parties and there was a lot of confusion and uncertainty, so I tried to stay away from it and focus on my writing and my family. In the end, I don't know that the situation worked out all that well for anybody. The whole thing was awkward and I don't think anybody handled it very well, but it is what it is."

Speaking of the JvD soap charity event in NYC, has anyone been/planning to go this year? I'm super close by and thought it might be fun and would include some of the PP OLTL cast for a good cause but I've never been to a fan event & I'm not sure I can convince any friends to join and would love any feedback.

I'm actually going to be in NYC that weekend but I can't go. I'm taking my nieces to NY Comic Con for kids day.

Honestly, I've been to a few soap events - not Stars and Strikes although I know people who have - and I can almost promise your friends that they will have a good time even if they aren't soap fans. SAS is a good one because so many actors from different shows participate (JvD's apparently got mad pull and actors like to show up for him) so from what I've heard, it doesn't get clique-ish.

DW50, aka Carl well at first JVD played cowboy…but I think they told him to stop doing the accent. I don't see Clint as much of a cowboy, and I don't really see Jerry in Clint either. I don't know if that makes sense.

Jerry went through cancer twice in the 90s, it came back less than 2 years after his diagnosis. He was off from GL for about a month in 1993, and then it came back again, so he went through radiation while still working in 95. He had a good report on the same day he got his first Emmy and has been okay ever since. I thought everyone knew about Jerry's cancer by now because of the bowling event.

I've gone to the bowling event in the past. PM greens_dupres we can talk… Yes actors just show up and they supposedly don't get anything for coming. A lot of times actors don't say they will attend ahead of time and just appear, which is kind of fun. It isn't clique-ish in the way other events can be, but that I think is a carryover from his GL days..and how people from various soaps show up for the cause.

I just can't deal with a lot of the callers or Skypers or whoever on these things. I may give it a listen when I get home later on.

I was hoping for Pepperman too. I see the questions going something like this:

Will Todd & Blair get married?

Do you know if they'll bring back Rex & Gigi?

Where is Starr?

Where is Jessica?

Will Clint & Viki get married?

Whatever question cassadine has planned for AT tongue.png

I miss John and Natalie- when is he coming back?

No, I was pretty sick last week. What was the point past which I was supposed to be clear of all the psychos again? I thought there was a timestamp. I'll go back and look in the thread.

Assuming he does have some sort of absence coming up, I think it would be nice if they covered some of RH's down time on the show with a visit from Starr, since KA is up for it. John would be nice as well to wrap that story up, but I don't see that happening any time too soon.

    • It feels like the show hired Hank Northrop first and are still deciding what to do with him lol. I don't have a judgement on the character yet, but this non-story (so far) has been happening for at least a month and he's only made 2 appearances lol.
    • I know Anita mentioned that she no longer was investing in the trust, while Leslie had stated that the interest was multiplying at a decent rate... but I do have a feeling she'll wipe through the trust in a short amount of time with the amount of spending she's doing. The show always throws in tiny nuggets of foreshadowing and having Anita's remark and Eva warning her mother not to overdo the spending tells me that Leslie will be blowing through that money eventually.
    • I honestly don't care if Laura is friends with Sonny.  She's been friends with him for decades.  The way she goes about the friendship is stupid.   She has no sense of self-preservation or awareness about the optics of parading her friendship with Sonny around town.  She practically celebrates it.  There's no reason in the world she can't just keep the friendship low key and explain they share a grandchild and frame the relationship that way.  A lot of Laura's choices, like getting into a public fight with Dalton, just make her look silly and like a fairly incompetent mayor. Carly is another PC lady that's starting to look silly.  I know she's explained her plan a lot, but it's still stupid and moving at a glacial pace.  If Joss is 45 by the time her revenge plot unfolds, what's the point?  Just dump Brennen and move on please.
    • On that same note, it's astounding to have mobster Sonny in the same office with Mayor Laura chatting it up about their mutual grandson. Think about the reaction if John Gotti and Mayor Eric Adams had a friendship

?? I guess the Logic behind Sonny & Jason acceptance is like when i saw a documentary where FBI agents said they'd rather deal with the mafia than terrorists or cartels---they're the "lesser of 3 evils". Anyway I'm about 30 years late on this convo.
    • Im confused. Does Jessica know anything about June's relation to Tyrell? At the start of the episode, it seemed like June was gonna slip that he was her son but she caught herself but later in the episode she referred to him as "my boy" and Jessica had no reaction like that wasnt a surprise to her No, Anita was putting money in the account every 6 months but we werent told how much was in it when Leslie became a beneficiary. The show has set it up that it was multiplying based off the interest so that its really worth quite alot now. I dont buy it but thats what they've told us
    • What was the point in Lori's return as Mrs. Max Hollister? That little story never made much sense to me.  Were there plans for a permanent return? Or even a new family with her as the matriarch?
    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
    • Ooooo A Liam episode? I'll watch it later today. They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.
