AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

I think the ideal filming in advance would be about 2 months -- enough time that they have to plan long term and not just change everything because of pressure groups, but not so long they can't change what's not working. Filming 4 months in advance has been fine for Days from what I can tell from watching it the last few months, and may have helped stiffen spines against any backlash to the intimacy of Will and Sonny, but I can see it being a problem.

With the way they are double filming 2 episodes a day, and with Fridays not having new episodes, unless there's some kind of summer hiatus in filming they will end up ahead by more than a couple months at some point, even given that they are taking 5-week breaks.

After Vee told me a little about it I watched the AMC video, and I thought it was very well put together. I was happy with all the focus on Jesse and Angie. Were any of their scenes new? I was trying to figure out if the Angie/David scene was new, or was one of the last AMC weeks.

I was surprised at the part with the old narration from MEK. That makes me wonder if he's going to be a part of this and just wants a breather.

I wish Dixie still had short hair.

Was the David/Cara stuff new or from the last weeks?

The David/Cara dialogue scene where he asks her if their child (dead?) was a boy or a girl is new.

Anything with Dixie with long hair, with Adam is new. Her hugging him, in a hospital room (clearly J.R.'s) telling him J.R.'s hurt people but not to turn his back.

Bianca at the grave, at the end, is new, as is a shot of Miranda and A.J. hugging.

The Angie/David scene was old. There is a new shot of Angie welcoming Joe to her new home, near the end. As well as Pete riding back into town, which was location work.

Thanks. I wasn't sure on that David/Cara scene. Why do I have a feeling that she hid the child away.

Wow, I love both All My Children and One Life to Live and I see that there are haters out there saying they would rather smoke weed than watch the show they hate the most. I'm glad I don't visit these forums much these days. Too much nastiness amongst you closeted queens.

I don't think Cara hid the child. Her overprotective brother Griffin did and lied to her that it died!

I like this theory. I want Cara not to have turned into yet another "I hate David" character.

I can also see her having given the child away for adoption because she couldn't raise the baby as a single mother if David wasn't around (perhaps in a coma/jail)

I hope the baby isn't dead!

Bitch, please. I'm as gay as a 3 dollar bill and never made any bones about it.

I'm just gonna SAY IT, the AMC video has more than twice the number of views as the OLTL video.

That was for Vee.

Successful doctor Cara could always hire help with the child, plus she had her brother to be "daddy" in David's absence, which would be a sore point for him! I couldn't see her willingly give up the child for adoption, as she really wanted it! My theory is Cara's leukemia returned while she was pregnant, she refused treatment in order to save the baby, and she nearly died giving birth, truly out of it for quite some time afterward. This gave Griffin the opportunity to spirit the baby away, and by telling Cara it died (the "proof" she wouldn't question because she trusted her brother), he would keep David out of her life for good...or so he thought!

Lets not even start this AMC Vs. OLTL Bullshit again, Damnit. Both shows rock. Just leave it at that
