Just so that everyone knows, in today's opener for The View, Susan Lucci will be on and the announcer said that the hosts will be asking her if she is returning to AMC.

RIP: In Memoriam Thread

I thought you might appreciate this. Back to the Bay, probably due to Rachael's guest stint on Home & Away (her last role), wrote a detailed obituary for her going through her life and career and the mourning statements of her various co-stars. I never knew she was on a number of US shows, including a co-lead with Marisa Ramirez (ex-Gia, GH).

Well yes of course. Just sayin that the BTG cast came to some of those events -- I was reading BTG actors' social media which talked about the events.

Procter & Gamble sponsored the Cincinnati Music Festival in July, BTG actors were there, and there were actors visiting the P&G museum in Cincinnati -- -and CBS publicity was there also
Several posts from actors Cincinnati on the behind-the-scenes BTG thread on that (Link to one of the posts) (more before and after that post)

July 25, 2025 BTG press run in Cincinnati was coordinated by this publicity team from CBS (at least that's the impression I had from the posts back then)

I agree. What about that L.A. warehouse set with all the trash? The one where Sharon and Nick walked in (the same) circles every day looking for Noah?
But yeah, let's put up the side park set so Noah and Siena can STUPIDLY go for a walk and be alone -- while knowin their lives are in danger. So interesting that Matt showed up there (WHY???) to talk over his evil plans.

I think we're not getting a scene with Britt talking about Spencer because of a typical and ridiculous soap move: Don't mention a dead/gone character because it's a mistake to remind audiences that character existed.
Every soap does this, and I hate it.

I wouldn't say that at all.
Publicist ≠ marketing/promotion in the visual sense or on social media. CBS itself manages the show's social media and runs the campaigns you see on TV, etc. The publicist can only set up interviews with cast/crew, send out press releases and work alongside marketing/promotion on campaigns.
SmithHouse does not handle any of CBS' socials or their overall promotion campaigns. They, however, send out campaign materials to the press when available.
Think of it this way: Y&R and DAYS created new YouTube channels because neither CBS nor Peacock was interested in sharing the content on the official channels already in place. B&B does the same for their YouTube channel, though they primarily post full episodes there, while the CBS Brand Channel hosts promos and clips that are taken offline within days of posting.
P&G is a marketer and advertiser looking to reach the masses with its products. Doesn't really have anything to do with CBS when they do those live/in-person events.

oh wow. So perhaps the remaining CBS publicists via SmithHouse aren't really savvy as to what/how to promote BTG?

Earlier this year, and even a few months ago, that P&G was doing the best at promoting BTG, holding live events in various cities.

I think that currently, the best BTG promotion is from the cast social media ig and tiktoks -- they do a great job -- but --- that doesn't really promote the show unless mainstream media (or CBS) reposts/regrams what the actors post.
