Here's the first promo for it. And, it's a 50 anniversary promo too. Not sure if I should have put this here or Spoiler Island. But, there's not really many spoilers in the promo. But, move if so.

The hate for Lily bc she wasnt Brenda, was outstanding and undeserved IMO. She fell for the wrong man but she did not do anything wrong

No, the hate for Lily was because she was a thirsty heifer that had her capo father buy her a husband that didn't even love her. And I won't even get into her dropping a dime on Queen B to Sonny about the wire, not because she was concerned for Sonny but because her thirsty ass wanted him for herself.

I wish they'd invited Gail and Lee back for the anniversary. Maybe they did. I don't know if either actor is still alive. They were such a strong, comforting presence in the '70s and '80s shows - as well as some other material pre-Monty I've seen with Gail, Lee, Patsy Rahn's Monica and the Webbers - and were a key part of the elder fabric of the show along with Steve and Audrey. I remember them well from PC, but I'd like to see them for the 50th.

Yes, they are both still alive. Peter Hansen (Lee) is 91 and Susan Brown (Gail) is 80. I was really glad that they were carried over to Port Charles and given a chance to do more. They were perfect patriarch & matriarch types and made great grandparents to Serena, Karen, & later Christina.

This seems as good a place as any - can someone ID who this is for me, with Steve?

That's Kim Hamilton as Dr. Tracy Adams, the first African American doctor to practice at GH.

If her presence didnt put a temporary halt in the Sonny/Brenda lovefest, I doubt a good chunk of the people hating on her would have cared one way or the other about her.

My mom had to step out of the room. She has a hard time with the Stone's death episode because my dad (her husband) died the same year.

I certainly didn't. I liked Lily.

On another note, I keep hearing about how Monty's second stint was terrible, but after seeing that R&A episode, I have to say that it wasn't nearly as bad as they've made it out to be. Was it as great as what was ahead? No, but it still stands head and shoulders above the millennial years.
