This episode illustrates why:

1. I had no problem with Robin being loyal to Sonny throughout the 90s, as she witnessed Sonny at his best (when he'd taken care of Stone and actually supported his efforts to be a better man than he was).

2. Robin was one of the best teens in soaps. She wasn't a shrill stereotype of what writers thought a teen should be like, but a young heroine that many (including myself) admired greatly.

3. I've always seen Sonny's BFFship with the roided goiter to be a poor imitation of the genuine love that he had for Stone.

Compared to the sucky teens of the 00s, she was well-behaved*...

*yeah, I'm defending teen Robin because I was a few years younger than her and completely on her side against Uncle Mac

*sniff* @ Queen B, Mac, and Felicia comforting Robin, while Sonny cradles dear Stone...

That Luke sure didn't give a sh!t about Robin

Kevin starting to cry. Sonny saying goodbye to Stone. Felicia/Robin/Brenda hugging. "I see you Robin", Lucky's philosophical conversation with Luke. The whole [!@#$%^&*] episode just always hits me like a ton of bricks and I break down in tears.

I honestly think that's the saddest episode of General Hospital ever.
