EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt (although I was more willing before the side that reminded me of one of my biggest concerns with her era), but I think her OLTL run was a mixed bag. I still think she and Racina could be great, but I think people who are setting up the dichotomy of OLTL being great and AMC being awful, before either are on the air, are setting up very big expectations which I'm not sure are based on the work of those involved.

I don't subscribe to that at all. I think both shows have pretty good shots. I happen to like McPherson's work more than most, I think she's a good fit for AMC, and I think they're working from a good framework with Agnes clearly involved. It's not a 'show vs. show' thing for me. I think they both have good teams in place.

I haven't a clue who Rob Wilson is, but at least he's hot.
