I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

A casting call went out for the following roles for the AMC reboot: The contract role of Grace, who is described as a blonde, driven, sexy, Caucasian girl in her early 20s, and the recurring roles of Hunter, a handsome, confident bad boy, Caucasian, 16 to 18-years old and Heather, a beautiful 18-year-old Caucasian queen bee.

They're not gonna recast Madison if Stephanie is wanting to do the reboot. I don't think Madison and Scott are gonna be part of it. With our luck, it'll be all new characters. Kill me now!

I didn't mean that they would be literal recasts just that these characters would be filling those types of roles.

And honestly, I wish people would stop flipping out about casting. With every bit of news, this thread fills up with dire predictions and hysteria. J.R., Scott and Colby have been recast so many times that all their portrayers together could form a big blonde baseball team so can we stop acting like recasting any or all of them is some form of heresy? Somewhere out there are some damn fine young actors who could make these roles pop if given half a chance.

Unless the new casting director is better than the ABCAMC had, I don't have alot of faith in them. Madison was the last really well casted new character

Dragonflies, will you get a grip? PP IS TRYING. No doubt about it. Just because last time things fell apart last time doesn't mean they will fail this time. They hired good/logical choices to helm these shows (Thom and Susie for OLTL and Ginger Smith for AMC). They have proved that they care about the soaps!

I don't think we can say JR was recast so many times at this point that it doesn't matter. Jacob now defines the role for the most part. No one remembers the other JRs. That said, Jacob wasn't available so what are they gonna do.

Colby and Scott have also been recast but unless Daniel and Natalie don't want to come back, there is no reason to recast. Both did well in the roles.

No offense but you are doing a lot of speaking for others with those statements. I remember the other JRs.

We've been through 2 Kendalls 2 Biancas, 4 JRs, 3 Colbys and 3 Scotts (not counting infant portrayers) and each of those actors have viewers who loved them and remember them and new actors can do the same.

Caucasian is beginning to lose all meaning to me.

If Cady is signing on, I hope that means they are not SORASing JR, AJ and company, at least too much. I mean, they would have to go all Estelle Getty with makeup to make Dixie grandma to an older teen.
