HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Since LB signed a multi year contract with AMC would she be released from Days?

Um, her contract was with ABC not Prospect Park or AMC.

[if any of this mess happens] dragonflies I hope your right about Natalie (Colby). LOL. I hope the character is brought back on though, with a new Actress.

Omg, I just looked at that block of wood Trent Garrett's IMDb. Hopefully he stays busy. Daniel Kennedy or Fjord Spitball, on the other hand? ;-). [/if any of this mess happens]

With any luck he becomes one of the next ones to sign on.

It didn't even hit me till now but this reminds me of the Martin Family reunion from earlier this month. I wonder if the actors knew about this when this happened and if many of them are in actual talks to return. So far only VI has been confirmed from this lot

Isn't Simone dead?

Yeah and so is Baby Doll or is that chick supposed to be Marissa?

Cady McClain, please let go of that bad hair color!

Isn't Simone dead?

You do realize that the last big plotline on AMC involved David bringing several people back from the dead as part of his experimental Orpheus project? Besides that event wasn't likely linked to PP at all and TI being there was likely a coincidence. I doubt she will reprise her role when AMC resumes, not that it would be impossible if she did

Forgot abut that as I didn't watch.

For AMC - Agnes Nixon - Story Consultant

Headwriter - Lorraine Broderick, but since she is otherwise occupied with AHW at Days, I'd love to see Richard Culliton ditch his gig as scriptwriter at Days for the position. His last stint was spent cleaning up the mess of the previous HW, and then he was screwed by Frons before he was really allowed to soar. I think I would also be fine with Addie Walsh, who has been in the mix for a very long time. Outside the box, Beth Milstein from Y&R (she was headwriter for Days for a time, and tends to be a mix of McTavish [outlandish] and Broderick [heart] or Teresa Zimmerman, who has worked as an associate writer for B&B, and tended to keep Brad from going too far in any wrong direction.

For OLTL - Anna Cascio (sp?)

Really, we're back to fantasy regimes? This isn't going to end well for any of you.

I know Kennedy has done regional theatre, but haven't heard of anything else.

As for Fjord Spitb...err Finn Wittrock I doubt he would ever do it at this point. I know there were rumours about him leaving the role, or being fired, but either way one was that he wanted to remain based in New York to pursue theatre. This year alone he just had a hugely high profile lead role in the Phillip Seymore Hoffman revival of Death of a Salesman where he got great reviews, and he got great reviews this Fall in the Chicago revival of Sweet Bird of Youth oposite Diane Lane--he's become a theatre actor very quickly who is seen to as a go to guy when a strong 20something male actor is needed. As much as I thought he saved a poorly written character and wouldn't mind him joining the younger set on an online AMC (I really really liked him in the role, and hated how quickly they got rid of him), it would be incredibly stupid at this stage of his career and kill any momentum he is so rapidly gaining in theatre. (I guess unless they for some reason decide to film in New York...) When directors like Mike Nichols and David Cromer, reportedly, ask specifically for you to audition for them and then cast you, it makes zero sense.
