It has really nothing to do about the actors but the characters they play. Just like P&G owned rights to Lucinda, Barbara etc..etc.....If I were Howarth and Co...Id go back to OLTL online cause we know it wont last but a year if it does...and then jump back to GH as Todd and Co.

I think Todd is a breath of fresh air on GH and fits well on the canvas, but my ideal arrangement would be to have him back on contract on a solid new OLTL while doing recurring crossover stints on GH at his leisure. I have a feeling, though, that the cleanest and least nasty way to end this may turn out to be the other way around - and I can live with that if I have to.

John I would never call a breath of fresh air but I think works on GH which is a much more action-adventure oriented show, and I think Sam is a good mate for him. I abhorred so much about him on OLTL and thought he decimated Natalie's character, but I think he fits very well with GH's more adventurous environment. I can almost view him with a clean slate on it.

They can also keep Starr, who I enjoy with the right people and who I think is played out in OLTL for now. But whatever.

Prospect Park previously had a contract with Easton, who signed on to the company’s ill-fated initial attempt to launch OLTL on-line. It never had a deal with Alderson or Howarth, who was not mentioned in the statement. Further complicating matters, GH tapes in Los Angeles while OLTL will film in Connecticut, making it difficult for the actors to appear on both shows. It is unclear if the three actors have any interest in appearing in the online version of OLTL, or if the production can afford to pay them as much as they make on ABC. OLTL ended with a cliffhanger in which Howarth’s character was arrested for murdering his brother Victor as the audience learned that Victor was alive and well, so Prospect Park’s interest in resolving the storyline is understandable. On the other hand, the characters’ move to GH kept OLTL alive for fans, and may have helped Prospect Park raise the necessary funds to resurrect the show, so it’s odd that the company is taking an antagonistic stance with the network.

everyone keeps saying that ABC and PP are making money out of this deal? What about the actors? Sounds like they are the ones who are going to lose their income, PP will survive without 3 characters they have hundreds to choose from over a 40 plus year history

No I don't. IMO, GH breathed new life into these characters and I stand by what I says, which is they should stay on GH as those characters and nothing else. There is nothing left for John or Todd to do on One Life. And I damn sure don't wanna see them latched onto Blair or Gnat again.

It's like some people think that these three characters not being on OLTL will be make or break and it won't. For every Starr there is a Sarah. For every John there is a Rafe or Ed. And for every Todd there is an anti-villain that can be created. Like I stated before, there is a plethora of old characters that can fill the "void" that would be left without these three.
