EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Prospect Park licensed the rights to any and all details, characters, etc. mentioned on or related to All My Children/One Life to Live, so no.

So does PP have the rights to "Skye" if so you think they'd force GH to not use her(if they were so inclined)

That's a catch 22, but I believe since Skye was created as an "AMC" character, despite her history being altered to make her a Quartermaine instead, she is an "AMC" character in the end. So yeah, they get her.

Did they have to ask PP when she came back for Edward's funeral? I don't remember if that was an issue or not.

It would be fine if she turned up on AMC or OLTL, but if not, then it would stink if we got no more AJ and Skye scenes

I dont get why PP wouldnt just work with ABC. They NEED the promotion and exposure. GH could be used to help them get off the ground espeically if RC wrote about the characters in the plot (and lord knows he would). Like Alexis reading the paper and seeing a blurb about Pine Valley; Molly talking to TJ about watching her stories on a new internet streaming website....stuff like that. Not to mention ABC could air short 5 second promos during the show directing people to AMC/OLTL. It could be mutually beneficial to both parties

we could get a throwaway line from Molly about maybe watching her soaps online or something like that lol. I can see her being a soap watcher

No it isn't. Ron couldn't use Skye in his sad attempt to resurrect OLTL so the character and actress are free and clear to return to AMC if Robin C. chooses.

Why can't GH go on without these OLTL characters? There are 50 years worth of characters in GH history. Find some other characters and use them.

I said it'd be jarring to the fans and it would be. We see them in one role then they turn around and are recast into a new role--I'll pass. Keep Starr and Todd or give the two actors the boot.

Skye doesn't need Adam, Hayley or Erica. She's a strong character played by a charismatic actress who could easily fulfill the role of HBIC.

no but she needs people to interact with, she doesn't have history with Angie & Jesse(at least I don't think she does).

There honestly is no purpose for her on AMC and if RC doesn't want to do it, we'll get another recast. Pointless all around
