HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

That would have been awesome had that happened. Nora and Clint never had a sex scene, it cut before anything happened...they had a couple of kissing scenes...

But seriously, how wild would it be to find out Kim returned and stole Clint from Viki, Bo ended up falling in love with Viki while helping her through another heartbreak, and Nora moved the hell on to a brand-new love interest?

Nora moved onto Cutter.

We get Nutter. LOL.

crazy is good, nothing wrong with that and SH did it wonderfully

But MH found that stuff insulting to play--so would prob only return if they made Marty sane (and I guess avoided jail for her)

They are recasting Destiny. The patels were recuring on ABC & I bet Sean Ringgold may have requested recurring since he has been doing lots of Prime time in the year since OLTL left ABC

And a new black, British male character has also been mentioned.

Actually, Cutter moved onto Natalie ("Cat"). And Alex became the Mother-in-Law from Hell until she learned she was not really Cutter's mom (a secret she keeps to herself because she is broke and needs to stay in her daughter-in-law's family).

Marty was insane up until her rape in 1993. Thats why jer exit story never bothered me. IMHO, Marty came full circle

SHe was a ver different kind of insane, IMHO. And that's my whole point--I thought it sent a bad message to show a woman who manners to become a reputable shrink, get over all the trauma of the raqpe, losing a husband, etc, etc--and then she snaps tyo full on psycho simply because she wants John's love? WTF

That would be awful. I'd have to hate Viki.

Yeah, I kinda hate it myself. :(

More than likely, though, PP is just as skittish about minorities being on-contract as ABCD. (Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.)

That only seems to be true with OLTL. AMC has the Hubbards and Castillos on contract while OLTL has their minorities on recurring and is looking for someone to play Sugarbaby Destiny.

That's true, marceline. I'd forgotten about AMC when I posted that.

Gee, I forgot AMC. I get a feeling I'll be doing a lot of that before it's all over.

  • Member

I feel as if I've already forgotten AMC.

LOL.

Funny, because you keep posting that you aren't gonnawatch it, so I thought it was on your mind ;)
