Heart and Soul of Soaps

Lol NB claims these women are the Heart and Soul of the industry. Who do you consider to be the Heart and Soul of Soaps?

Sharon Case, Katherine Kelly Lang, Finola Hughes, and Kimberly McCullough are the heart and soul of this industry. Fact.

You can't really be "the heart and soul of the industry" when you leave for many years at a time, as Finola has.

I could say, "Sarah Felder is the heart of the soap industry," but just because I say it doesn't mean it's true.

I might agree with people like KKL, Susan Flannery and those no longer in the business like Denise Alexander, Erica Slezak. Not people who left for years to do other things and then crawled back.

The people who hold the soaps together. None of those he listed are it!

How could they since most of them left for many years

Susan Flannery and Susan Lucci would be at the top of my list whatever that drinking list really means and Bill Bell and Agnes Nixon

I am shocked Muhney isn't on the list.

Since this list has jack all to do with longevity and is just a certain someone naming his pet actors, here are my choices for the list.

My answer would be the people who created the shows, after that those people who worked in front of and behind the scenes for 25+ years. Many of those people are no longer living, but I digress.

For once, I agree with Nellie: those particular women are the heart and soul of soaps. And that's why soaps are dying.

She's certainly the most talked about soap star of the last decade.
