Am i the only one that just doesn't see the point of doing another Nurses Ball? It was wonderful "back in the day" but it was a different time. Even the last Nurses Ball sucked if you remember because the hotel was messed up for some reason so they had it in the basement of the hospital and then there was a bus crises so half the staff had to be apart of that. I was glad when they decided not to continue. The first six years were great...the final one.. not so much. No choris line...no Lucy in her underwear, none of the things that made the ball great in the first six years.

So now in 2012 they are goign to do it in December? it was always done in June because it's the AIDS awareness month. They'll have the two stupid new girls who nobody cares about (Serena and the mean one) and Steven Webber will sing but i can't see anybody else. maybe Doctor Drake. Maybe starr but probably because they have nobody else. Anybody want to see Epathany shaking her grooze on the stage??

I thought the first few were the ones who worked best, and by the time you had subplots like Bobbie and Jerry's sex tape accidentally being on the AIDS awareness video, it had lost its way.

I liked the OLTL musicals well enough (overall), but it mostly depends on the characters involved. I don't care about Sabrina or Britt or any of that. And you can't really see Todd, Carly, Sonny, or McBain singing or dancing. It was hard enough to believe back in the day when someone like Taggert would be up there.

Yes. And I believe that was also the day Stone died, which makes it even more poignant if that's when it takes place.

Even when a well-loved vet returns, people can't take the time to enjoy the news before they once again attack GH as a whole for what they "think" will happen. It's a shame.

It could well be botched. The only reason I'm at all optimistic is because I imagine this regime may see the character as similar to Andrea Evans's Tina, and to be completely blunt it seems like the shelf life of GH is closer to where OLTL was when they brought AE back for the second time, as a last Valentine to her fans, than the first time, when she was incorporated into (e.g., used as a plot device in) longterm stories. But I'm just really happy we'll get to see Lucy again. Lynn Herring is amazing. I will watch GH again to see this, however it turns out.

Agreed. I imagine she'll be zany comic relief, and while that can annoy people, I liked that side of Lucy. I liked the pain too, Lynn always played that beautifully (she was a little hyper in both comedy and drama but you always felt her pain), but I think she can pull it off. I mostly hope they'll use her history with people like Felicia and Luke.

Luke once said Lucy was the onyl woman he'd consider cheating on Laura with. I wouldnt be surprised if we get a Anna/Luke/Lucy triangle. I can se Luke using her to make Anna jealous and something actually developing between them

I'm hoping that line is now dead, since we know Luke was cheating with prostitutes throughout his entire marriage.
